Saranac Lake Middle School

Both of my children have excelled academically at Saranac Lake Middle School. I think that the school's teachers and staff are excellent and are unfailingly supportive of the students in their care.

Both of our children have attended Saranac Lake Middle School with very positive experiences. Looking around the hallways you are greeted with student work that shows the kids and teachers care about their work. There are after school programs that let kids try drama, art, math, rock climbing, skiing and a lot more. My kids each choose different activities and made great friends and learned things they could use in life. Teachers here look out for kids. They know that middle schoolers need to have fun while they learn, they need to be active and have choices along with high expectations.

The parents who encourage encourage kids to do their best, send supplies, attend concerts and stop in to ask about their kids are an important part of SLMS. It is a pleasure to be a part of a team with the parents of Saranac Lake.

This School is Ok if you are into sports or if you are in an academic group, but if you are not and if you are outspoken and have trouble, this is a horrible school. The principle and other teachers demean kids in front of their peers.
