I think this is a great district, with wonderful students and teachers. I feel the administration tends to favor their own a little too much. They should look for other great teachers who don't necessarily live in the community. They seem to hire relatives and friends.

The mangement of this school leaves a lot to be desired. This school has no tolerance for progressive education. The nail sticking out must be hammered down!

I have to disagree with the last review. I feel SMS is very accommodating to special ed students. I have two special ed students who have different personalities and learning preferences and they have identified their differences and accommodated them properly. It is possible a few teachers may misunderstand different needs, but I have found everyone my children have had to be wonderful. I am also happy to report they are doing very well with their grades.

I think our kids are very privileged to live in such a great community and go to a wonderful school. The teachers, (for the most part) really care about the students and want to see them succeed.
