the school is very competitive in the negative sense. students are overlooked for their achievements and favoritism runs rampant in the system

i do agree that the school is a bit old fashioned, but as an alumnus of the school i have to say that going to that school has made me a much better person. all of the teachers are extremely nice and they all care about their students and treat them like they are their kids. also, the music program, of which i was personally in is exceptional and one of the best i have ever been in. now i have to agree that the school is a bit old fashioned (the building is 50 years old) and a lot of the more technological things are not as far along as other schools, but it is still an amazing school that i would reccomend highly.

This school is too old fashioned! It needs to become more open minded and modern, to fit societies needs. It needs to offer more electives and have more after school days besides Tuesday & Thursday.

About the tests

In 2010-2011 New York used the New York State Regents Examinations to test high school students in english language arts, math, global history and geography, US history and government, living environment, chemistry, earth science, physics and several foreign languages.
