I graduated from East Broadway in 1960. WOW! I walked to and from school, over a mile, every day, up Seamen Neck Rd, before it was paved; when farms and large oaks lined the way, and when all of us post-war kids had, like our parents, the willingness to learn. Yup, it must have been our horrible 1950's conservative upbring that demanded so much from us? I Presently work in education in NYstate-forget-about-it! What a great school E. Broadway was, and still sems to be! It's individual willingness ,not government resources, which enables one to learn.

East Broadway School in Kevittown SD is a place where students seem to thrive. In the past my daughter had diffculty with reading. This had an effect on her ability to progress and learn in all areas of study. Once the problem was identified, she immediately began to recieve both special education services and reading support. Her progress is steadily growing and improving, along with her self esteem. I consider the special education staff at East Broadway to be highly trained and skilled in their craft. Thank god for the teachers at East Broadway!

My daughters are extremely happy there and they are developing well. I could go on at length, but the bottom line is that it is a very comfortable atmosphere with a great staff.

East Broadway is the kind of school every parent imagines for their child. It is a warm, nurturing environment where laughter and learning abound. Although the school population is quite large, most parents and teachers know one another, and it feels like a family. The teachers are outstanding professionals who give their best to our kids every day. They are so incredible that many parents joke they want to have more kids for the sole purpose of being able to stay part of the East Broadway family a little longer! The school is immaculate, thanks to the fine custodial staff, and the office staff are kind and take pride in also knowing the children. Finally, the PTA is the best there is, constantly providing programs and activities to benefit the children. I consider it a blessing to have wound up in this school district.

My son is currently in 1st grade. We like the school very much. He receives both speech and reading outside of his class. All the teachers and staff seem very nice. The school is nicely set up and clean. They have a variety of programs they attend everyday of the week. He has gym twice a week; art, music, library-once a week. He seems to have learned a lot for only being in first grade. They have math homework everyday and spelling tests everyweek. My son can tell time. It seems to be an excellent schoo. They also do many programs through the year which involves parents in learning about things such as child olestation and warning signs, etc...
