Profile Completeness

BASIC

Want to improve this school’s profile? You can!

All schools on GreatSchools begin with BASIC completeness, which includes important information like contact details and test scores. It’s up to the school community to take the next steps. As a parent or community member, you can share what you know with other families by writing a review or answering a few questions about what the school offers. As a school leader, you can upload photos, describe school programs, and more with an Official school profile.

The completeness meter moves to INTERMEDIATE, then ADVANCED, and finally HONOR ROLL as you complete the following: 10 or more reviews, at least 1 photo, and 9 program questions parents find helpful.

This school is anti-american and anti-military. The superintendent Alan R. McCartney finds the military symbols offensive. If he finds this so offensive, then how does he feel about the American flag?

This school District is horrible, little kids being left outside hours endless, staff saying accidents happen, boys pinning girls against the wall, mean while the girls are screaming for help and not one teacher hears the girls screaming, boys choking girls. education stinks they are more concerned about sports. its so great half the kids are dropping out.

this school district stinks, little skids being left outside, teachers not knowing when and how it happened. peter b coeymans made the news in 2012 because a little girl was left outside, was wondering the street becuase she couldn't get in. same thing happened in aw becker. staff saying accidents happen, thats a bad accident for kindergartners and 1st graders. kids being left on buses, they don't do much about bullying. education stinks, staff is so quick to blame the parents for things they do wrong.

Obviously the review that received one star was from a student who wants to blame everyone else for his/her lack of intelligence. I can guarantee whoever wrote this had no interest in academics and only attended because they had to. Get real, if all these problems they listed existed RCS would not be able to turn out the caliber student they do. Thank God this student was from 2003 and we do not have to deal with whoever it is anymore. In 2012 look at what our students have accomplished. Look at how many attend college. Look at the credentials of our teaching staff. Look at our Sports record and all the other activities our students are involved in. Look at our outstanding Music Dept. Sure there are those who only attend because they have to. What a wonderful world it would be if they could be eliminated from the student body so we could teach only those interested in bettering themselves. We could all rejoice. A RCS HS Teacher and proud of it.

As with anything in life you get out what you put into something. I have seen kids come through RCS, play sports, join clubs, and over all become active in the community. They have went to good colleges and went on to great jobs. I have also seen kids who do not care about their education. They struggle, cause problems, do not go to college and struggle to find work. As I am sure you can find at any school, there are good teachers and bad ones. For the most part RCS has good teachers. A very good math, History, and Tec dept. They are working on English, and Science with a few standout teachers mixed in with some that could do better. Over all I think that if a student cares about their education and puts in the effort they will walk away with a great education from RCS!

Many teachers in this school do not teach properly, the custodians don't clean well, the bathrooms are always out of toilet paper and other necessities such as soap and paper towels, fights occur at least twice a month and lunchladies do not wear hairnets and i constantly find something wrong with my food( such as hair or plastic or something in it). Overall, I do not enjoy being at this school and have a hard time with my education at this school.
