This school has a very rigorous academic program combined with full immersion in Catholic doctrine and morality. The principal is involved in every aspect of the school, the teachers are committed professionals and the parish community offers its full support. Children in this school receive an excellent education in the traditional subjects of elementary learning but perhaps more importantly they are taught the values of service to others and achieving their own personal bests in all their endeavors.

It is just great and now that they have before and after school extended care, it's even better!

Excellent school. Averages in the 98-99% in NYS testing. The teachers are fabulous and the committed to each child. Clean, safe, nurturing environment. Best kept secret in value of private education in Westchester County hands down.

My daughter went there, and Sister Gabriel and Ms. Kearse are the best. All the teachers are dedicated and love the kids. The students come out with a good learning experience and are grounded in their values.

What a school ! My child is part of the Seton family and I can say no public school can compare to the education that is given at Seton.

My two daughters have attended SEAS since kindergarten. As a public school teacher, I commend the staff at Seton for having rigorous standards mixed with compassion. My daughters are in 6th and 8th grade and I feel the school helped me raise two civic-minded well rounded young ladies.

I am thrilled with the education my children are receiving at Seton. The principal is outstanding for her continuity, her dedication, and her clear-minded goals. My children have thrived at this school, and they've gotten a daily dose of good, old-fashioned religious education as well. The curriculum is solid, and the atmosphere is positive and healthy.

Overall good school. Many caring teachers who work hard for the children. Some changes have taken place in the upper grades and this may be a future overall improvement for the school.

This is overall a great school. The principal Sr. Gabriel is an excellent leader who cares about us the students. I graduated last year and am happy to say that I NOW miss the caring teachers of Seton. Last year in 8th grade we got a new math teacher she was tough but I learned so much from her. She taught me to have confidence in myself and she explained things in a simple way. I have visited back and have told all my teachers I miss them (eventhough I'm having fun). I told my 8th grade math teacher that I wish she was at my school. I never thought I would say I miss Seton.

My son has attended this school since pre-school. Each child gets individual attention and the principal knows each and every child. This school is very structured and disciplined and any issue is never left undone since the principal is so 'in-tune' to each child. Not much in the line of art or music, but it is great for education. The parents are always involved and it is a very safe environment.

This is a top notch elementary school, including a great 3-5 yr.old preschool. Sister Gabriel, principal, is the backbone of this school with an excellent academic program. Dedicated parents also volunteer in many ways to make the school a close-knit environment. Extracurricular activities, art progams and language departments are on the weak side, but are a small sacrifice for the quality of the education, discipline and moral character of this school.

The 5th and 6th grade teachers are the weak link at Seton school. They do not get along with each other, and the dissention shows. Learning seems to slow dramatically in the 5th grade, not to pick up again until the 7th. 1st to 4th grade and 7th and 8th grade are wonderful.

At SEAS grades 1-4 are fabulous, you will not find a finer, more dedicated group of teachers anywhere. The basics are learned - not just taught, along with a healthy dose of prayer and kindness - a true Catholic Education. You will not find a better principal than Sr. Gabriel. She stands behind her teachers and takes each childs education most seriously. The upstairs however, despite her efforts, is disappointing. The upper grade teacher are very weak. By the time these kids move on to 7th and 8th grade the damage is already done, there is very little academic growth in these crucial pre-middle school years, and while the 7th and 8th grade team is pretty strong (with the exception of math) they are not given much to work with. I think the recent drop in enrollment is due to the 5th-6th weakness.

I had attended Seton for 11 years and and at the time hated it but now I'm grateful to receive such an education. I now attend a public high school and am learning stuff I learned two years ago.

as a parent of a third grader who has attended Seton for the past two years, I have nothing but positive feelings. Standards are very high and children do well.

About these ratings

The Community Rating is the school’s average rating from its community members (e.g., parents, students, and school staff). The highest possible rating is five stars; the lowest is one star.

We currently do not have any test score information for this school. Unlike public schools, private schools are not always required to report data about their schools or not required to take the same tests as public schools. Many private schools take different standardized tests; however, that information is often made available only to families of enrolled students. We strive to acquire additional private school data whenever available.
