I am an alumni of this school who graduated as valedictorian. It is therefore with credibility that I can say that this school is not worth your time and money. The quality of education is at or below that of regular public schools. Preparatory education for high school focuses mainly on the TACHS exam, which is an entrance exam entirely for catholic schools (which are also a huge waste of money). Note that the material on the TACHS exam is something any 6th grade could accomplish. They should put more focus on the material required to do well on SHSAT, a test that will get your child into a FREE institution of education guaranteed to put your child on the track for success. The school needs to increase its standards of learning in grades 6-8, and in some cases the quality of its teachers. However, the currently employed teachers are different from the ones I had, and therefore I cannot say anything about the current teachers. Two positives about this school is that the learning environment is safer (except in grades 6-8, where violence is nearly the same as public school) and that strong friendships form. The small class size easily allows for this to occur.

I'm very proud to say all of my children attended St.Teresa of Avila school. Everyone encourages you try harder. My oldest daughter graduated valedictorian. Thank you Mr. Worthy Hudson and St. Teresa family

Im currently a student here in St. Teresa's and in the 8th grade. This school is amazing. The teachers push you hard to learn, they have a lot of days off, and every month they have a half day to go home early. Well the problem is that the tuition is expensive and the money it cost to bring your child to attend here is expensive also. But the principal can be harsh sometimes but she gets cranky when it comes to fights, students doing no homework, and messy bathrooms and classrooms.

About these ratings

The Community Rating is the school’s average rating from its community members (e.g., parents, students, and school staff). The highest possible rating is five stars; the lowest is one star.

We currently do not have any test score information for this school. Unlike public schools, private schools are not always required to report data about their schools or not required to take the same tests as public schools. Many private schools take different standardized tests; however, that information is often made available only to families of enrolled students. We strive to acquire additional private school data whenever available.
