I think that the teachers here are great. My student went from 2's all the way to a 4. If I had another child. I would definatly make sure he or she goes to this school

The staff is very courteous, knowledgeable, and very responsive. The Principal Mrs. Wilmoth is excellent. She is deeply involved with the teachers and students and is very quick to address and resolve any concerns. The teachers are exceptional. I have one child with special needs and another is above average. Both children were are doing extremely well because their needs and challenges are being met. One child has moved up to Pomona Middle School and she loves it. A+++++ to Summit Park, Hillcrest, Pomona and the East Ramapo School District. I transferred my children from St. Agustine Catholic School to East Ramapo and it was the best thing I did.

Principal&AP are both dedicated & demand & receive academic excellence. Responsive to pupils needs & parent concerns. Environment fosters hard work in students & teachers. 4th grade academies are attended by all students. PTA is active. Parents tend to be less involved than would be necessary for complete success. Communication between home and school is great.

The hillcrest office staff is rude. They do not attempt to make parents feel welcome in the school. The majority of the teachers are very good and work overtime for the students. The principal, mrs. Wilmoth, trys to listen to the families. Get a more welcoming office staff. First impressions are the most lasting.

Hillcrest school is a quality school in the east ramapo school district. Many parents are very involved in their children's education by participating in fundraising and student activities. My experience is that the administration requires students to follow the rules of the school district and they are strictly enforced. Students are challenged and have the opportunity to excel.
