The worse school ever, most teachers are screaming on children, they can criticize a child at front of class. Do you know that teachers can do not let your child use a bathroom when they need to? My daughter finished previous school with honor (with 4 nominations), but now she has problem to catch up. I hope board of educational will evaluate teachers and principal from this school because they are not doing anything good for your children; my child is very stress out as she started this school.

After my first child not doing well in this school, i didnt learn my lesson sending my daughter to this school. Its been a total nightmare!! The staff are very rude and the principal was rude as well. With my child being an honor student, this school had a bad affect on my daughters grades. After a wonderful transfer to a new jhs, my daughters grades are back up and im happy as ever. As a parent, i think this is a bad choice of school.

I WAS NOT VERY HAPPY WITH THIS SCHOOL. NOTHING BUT A DISAPPOINTMENT FOR MY SON. NOT ENOUGH REVIEW FOR STATE TESTS WHICH LED TO MY SON AND MANY OTHER CHILDREN GETTING GRADUATION ACTIVITIES TAKEN AWAY AND A TRIP TO SUMMERSCHOOL ALTHOUGH MY CHILD HAD AN 82 AVERAGE. VERY NASTY PRINCIPAL AND VICE PRINCIPAL WHO NEVER HAS ANY TIME FOR PARENTS. SADLY FOR ME I HAD A VERY BAD EXPERIENCE AT THIS SCHOOL. MY ADVICE, FIND ANOTHER ONE WHO CARES.

I think I.S. 2 is a wonderful school. I have one child who graduated with honors last year and another child graduating next year with honors. And Mr Newman the Asst principle is wonderful. Always got his eye on the kids. The teachers are wonderful and Mrs Stallone runs the school just perfect.

Children come in as 6th graders and are given a chance to grow and mature. By the time they leave at the end of 8th grade, they have mastered life skills which will help them throughout their lives. I know this because I have a child who is now in college who is using these skills every day. My 8th grader has grown and matured and is now ready for high school. Thank you I.S. 2.

As a parent of a child in this school, my daughter comes home every day smiling. Teachers built such nice relationships with the children that the children will always remember. The children get a sense of independence and through the teaachers realize the importance of hard work. My child knows she always has someone to turn to in this school if ever in need.

The teachers in the Arts Academy are caring and want the students to do their best. They are dedicated and inspire the students to be strong independent learners.

I love the personalized attention the children get, and how much they can excel. This school offers more after school help for those children who need it.. Is2 also keeps parents very involved, and teachers are easily available..

IS 2 is a GREAT school thanks to the hard working, dedicated Administration, Teachers and Staff. My two children graduated from this school and were well prepared for the challenges of high school. Teachers are accessible to the students at all times and work very hard to make sure that they get a quality education. This school offers a great after school program where students have the opportunity to participate in a variety of activities.
