The Principal of this school is a big phoney. Always has a FAKE smile plastered to her face, that is neither sinceir or trustworthy. The teachers walk around in fear of her, and are inable to do their jobs as a result.
Teachers and administrators are the rudest and the education given there is way below average. Homework assignments for the older kids are 1st grade level. How do you expect these children to ever succeed in HS and college? They need to stop worrying about games and sports, and focus more on the books.
This a WONDERFUL school, open door policy, great comunication with the teachers and principal. As a parent you feel welcomed. The Principal is a LOVELY person, she does an amazing job in this school.
The principal at the school is doing a great job in guiding the teachers and the children.
my kid goes there and is the best school in staten island.
The school may be small but the teachers and staff have big hearts.
Great teachers who take real interest in the student's progress. Students are known by name, not just a number....
P.S. 38 in Staten Island in the best "little" school. It provides an excellent education that supports and challenges students. The school is small in size, considerably smaller than most public schools through the city. This size allows for the school to create a community. My children are familiar with the majority of the school staff and through my experience, the majority of the staff knows the students by name. I am very satisfied with the education my children are receving at P.S. 38. My one complaint, which seems to be universal, is that the amount of homework assigned is a bit too much. In my opinion, the amount of homework frustrates students rather than supports their learning. I can see assigning a minimum of amount of homework on weeknights and more on Friday where the students have more time to complete the assignments.
P.S 38 is very dedicated to each and every student
i think that P.S.38 is a great school!
