My children studied there, I can tell the truth on what bullying is not properly handled in that school, both teacher and principal dismissed a permanently verbal bullying to my daughter and the only way I stopped was when I call the department of education and sent my complaint, they sent an inspector and he make this incident pertinent to the principal. Whenever you have a bullying problem there and they don t pay attention to you, please call the department of ed or send them a letter as I did, they will solve it.

My wife and I are both at a loss as to how this wonderful school only gets a 4 out of 10. I have three children in this school and we are blessed to have teachers and staff who care so much about our children. The parent/teacher communication has been excellent, ANY incidents involving injury or even potential bullying is immediately handled appropriately and we are notified within minutes of the incident. The Principal, Miss Maffeo is the MOST dedicated educator/administrator in the NYC public school system. She is there early, stays late, knows all the children by name and is always accessible And most importantly, she genuinely CARES. I often tell people that I can't believe that this education is FREE. I would gladly pay for a school of this caliber. Kevin, Kayla and Asleigh's parents.

I LOVE PS 46. I wish it went up to the 8th grade. The staff is amazing. Even the custodians know my son's name. My son is an excellent student and I thank his teachers and principal and assistant staff for that. Ms. Maffeo is a very fair and loving principal with an open door policy. Great Parent Coordinator, Mrs. Cottone. I want to say Thank you to the entire staff.

I grew up in this area and went to school here. Now my son goes here, the School is not the same.I think they should focus more on the bulling with the kids. There are alot of fights that the teachers seem to ignore! Also, it's hard to focus in a class that is mixed with different levels of learning. My son is a good student,in spite of all the distractions in his class. The teachers tell the good kids too try too get along with the kids that have bad behavior and don't care about the good children who try their best. The school needs to put more pressure on the parents of the misbehaved children, it seems to me they don't care what their kids are doing and the School let's them get away with it. I don't recommend sending your children. my son graduates this year. Thank God!
