I couldn't be happier with this school. I feel like they are an extended family because the school environment is so caring and nurturing. The principal, Ms. Esposito and Vice Principal Mr. Reformato are truly amazing people. They are always around, whether I am dropping my daughter off in the morning or picking her up from Latchkey. Their incredible leadership extends to all the staff I have come in contact with. I consider myself truly lucky to have P.S. 53 be my kids' zoned school.

I love PS 53 because not only is it considered one of the best elementary schools on SI but it is a warm and nurturing school as well. They care about their students. The office staff wonderful and easy to talk to. They have an amazing parent coordinator who is approachable, kind and caring. She goes out of her way to make each event at PS 53 spectacular. I am a graduate of PS 53 and I am so grateful my children have the privilege of graduating from their as well.

I love this school because my son was put into a specific class to help him keep up with the work since he is a December baby. It's tough to keep up with the kids that are almost 1 year older than him. The teachers and staff really care about the kids.
