Although OLMC has faced many challenges over the years I strongly believe in the school. All four of my children attended this school and so did I. Three of the four have went on to complete college and are very productive adults. I don't agree with everything that the school adminstration does but I do beleive collaborations. I am not a firm believer that it is solely the responsiblity of the school to educate your child. As parents you must take a vested interest and supplement what may or may not be taught in the classroom. If you are looking for an extended family and small clasrooms than OLMC is for your child.
Unfortunately this school is definitely below standards in terms of what's expected, parent teacher principal interaction was terrible.I always felt rushed out the door not to mention the incompetent secretary who closely assist the principal. At this school there a lack of sensitivity for children especially in the lower grades.no real extracurricular activities;nothing. As a parent with a child currently attending I can tell u first hand all there interested is in $$$$ sad but true ms Roland the principal seems to not care when her staff makes continuos errors.my child was hurt by a bully shoved spat on and she decided they both were not to participate during recess often times parents educators and staff don't see how this can hurt the development of a child -recess is Judy ad important for a child there energized and focused for the remainder of the day.furthermore it develops socialization skills, perhaps further training for teachers would be a start . In summation don't send your kid here leaving by the end of the summer, very uncaring staff starting with the principal down to ms mouton the secretary
vI dont recomend this school to anyone! My daughter attended this school for 2 years. I was paying for her to attend, meanwhile kids from housing had grants those same kids were bullying her calling her names like white trash and fatso etc when she was'nt even fat !Till this day this has left scars in her and complex that now I have to deal with .Teachers and staff did nothing to rectify this problem! Twice I presented myself to staff and teachers and the bullying still continued for 2 years!!!! Obviously their interest was about the money. I pulled her out and sent her to public school instead ,where there is less kids in a class and staff and teachers are more on top of things and take action when things like this present themselves. The bullying stopped!!!!!! Because there is a mixture of race!!!! My preception of catholic schools has deffinitely changed because of this!!!!
