I do not know who could have a bad experience at this school? It is absolutely wonderful. It is the quintessential small Catholic school with a strong faculty and amazing principal. Our child loves getting out of bed in the morning to get to school and we are constantly amazed at the things the children are learning there. There have been huge strides forward just within the last two years in terms of technological integration. The school continues to outperform our expectations. I highly recommend enrolling your child here.
The principal shows such a sincere interest in each student and family. She stands outside in the morning greeting each child by name. Beyond that, the faculty is so sincere in their ability to help these children.
The homework assignments are spaced out for Kindergarten in a way where the children can learn time management. Nothing is overwhelmingly assigned day-to-day, but instead weekly so the children can work on it at home in a comfortable pace.
I have been sending my 3 children here for about 11 years. this school has gone down hill since Mr Mazzella retired as principle, he was a caring & helpful principle. Mrs fiche is a horrible principle, she is uncaring to parents as well as children. this school only cares about money & not the education of children. I finally pulled my child out of this school & put him in PS 11, it was the best decision I ever made, wish I did it sooner. He is now getting a great education from a staff that is caring to everyone in this school.
Simply stating that there needs to be much change in this school. Starting with the principle. They are very unorganized especially with parent communications on trips, events and discipline. When it comes to asking for money or funds for the school there quick to ask for it but don't make any changes to benefit the school or it's environment. We're us all the money there raising going? Even though there a small school were everyone knows one another they have big problems especially academically. These children need to be prepared for there future. This is not there main focus. Change is needed especially with the change of times
I attended Saint Ann's from 1st grade until 8th grade when I graduated in 1962. It was a really good school for learning. I made many good friends that I am always wondering about how they are and what they are doing today. We had a great Basketball team back then!
