Lime Kiln stinks! Several of the teachers do nothing but text eachother all day. They allow cellphone use by the students during class. There is blatant favoritism and unprofessionalism. What a joke!

My son has done very well in this school. The teachers care and are dedicated. However, I sometmes think the more gifted a child is, the more slighted he may be because the concentration and emphasis are on those who are not excelling. Although, there is a gifted and talented program (E.T.C.-enriched thinkig for children) which is an extra outlet to challenge those advanced children. The music program is excellent. The chorus and band are fabulous! Those music teachers are wonderful. This school district is the place to be if you have a musiscally inclined child. My son has been on the honor roll every semester for two years (and they don't give grades freely) and he continually gets 'A's or '4's. I now have a daughter entering and am confident she will learn as much. Just watch other undesirable children whom may be a bad influence. Stay involved!
