Montebello Road School is an intimate environment, and the teachers are passionately committed to helping our kids reach their academic goals.
As a parent in my fifth year at Montebello, I can tell you it is a wonderful school. Each year, my children are placed with a great teacher for their personality. The curriculum is wonderful and the environment for the children and the parents is superb. We are a community that encourages parent involvement and builds the confidence of our children through school and many activities outside of school. We are also lucky to have a staff that supports the efforts of the parents and the PTA. Our district has programs in the Middle and High School for gifted children. At the elementary level, there are teachers who teach enrichment to those children that are identified. We also have programs for children with special needs. I think our district has done an excellent job providing various programs for all types of needs.
Montebello overall is a great school. The educational program itself is great as are the teachers. There are many extracurricular activities flag football, cheerleading, softball, lacrosse, soccer just to name a few. They also have curriculum nights 2x yr to spark parental involvement, allowing the child to show the parent what they do in school.
I have been a part of Montebello Road School for the past 4 years. My children joined in the middle of the year and were welcomed with open arms. I never felt more secure because at the end of their first day they had so many new friends and stories to tell it made me so happy. I love all the teachers, the activities and the curriculum. Moving to this district was one of the better things I've done for them
This school was a major disappointment to us.I have had 3 children attend this school only because it is the community school that my children had to attend .Our district doesn't allow parents the option of sending their children to another school in the district. Also there is no gifted program.I would not recomend.
