very disappointed with our experience...much more interested in keeping the kids quiet than enhancing learning...facilities very limited...teachers walk around with a chip on their shoulder...only a reasonable option if you live in the park...left after 2 years of hoping for more...my child came home with homework that was not the least bit challenging for her...good lunch though

Sounds as though all of the reviews were written by the same person. Tuxedo Park School is clean and small, yet the cirriculum doesn't differ much from public schools. There are no special programs or clubs offered that aren't an additional cost ($150-$350). There are no accelerated programs. There are no athletic fields except for a grassy lawn used for all sports. Clean and safe, but nothing exceptional except the cost. This is for those who want bragging rights on what they spend.

Tuxedo Park School is a magical place with high calibar academics, wonderful arts programs, competitive sports and a supportive, caring family environment all in a setting that is unsurpassed. Most importantly our daugther has been so happy from the minute she walked in the door.

When my daughter came to TPS in 6th grade, a light turned on! Suddenly, she was engrossed in her subjects, engaged with amazing faculty, making smart and kind friends, and trying things she never would have tried before. Thanks to the outstanding faculty and connection among students, she rose to challenges in the classroom with confidence. During her time at TPS, she was the lead in the school play, captain of the field hockey team, an editor of the yearbook, a leader in community service projects, and graduated from 9th grade with honors and a deep commitment to integrity, citizenship, kindness, and respect. TPS was such a wonderful experience for her, we now send our two younger children to TPS and they love it, too!

We have several children in the school and they each have very different strengths and weaknesses and yet they all love being at TPS. For students the environment is very much that of a large happy family. The teachers and staff are very supportive and students know everyone. From a parent's perspective, the curriculum while rigorous is achievable, and the support and preparation for moving onto school passed TPS is fantastic.

My kids' experience with the school has been fantastic. It is academically rigorous, but because of its small size and the nurturing disposition of the faculty, every child is known and challenged according to his or her abilities. For a school of its size, it's very technologically advanced with smartboards in nearly every classroom. Best of all, the school places tremendous value on the education of the whole child. Its programs for character development are as important/beneficial as the academic lessons it provides. No school is perfect for everyone, but this one is a special place

Our daughter attended the school for 9 years and we couldn't be happier with the education that she recieved. The teachers were outstanding and genuinely interested in the individual student and his/her development. We felt the school provided a very safe, caring but often challenging environment.

Our son has attended TPS for almost 7 years, and his experience has been wonderful. It is a small and very nuturing environment, with a passionate faculty and and staff. Everyone is known by name and if you are so inclined, parents can become a big part of the success of thier children's experience. The setting is a wonderful, peaceful oasis where nature abounds! Perhaps it isn't the place for everyone, but when my son is out the door eager to go up the mountain, I know we have made the right choice!

As a parents who took four children out of public school and placed them at TPS we could not be happier. Yes, they worked hard and some catching up to do however;they got all the support they needed from the faculty. When each of them went on to high school they were fully prepared to be both good, hard-working students and good people. RR
