This school is a hidden gem in Westchester County. Great teachers, a Pastor that is so involved it is amazing all he gets done and a Principal that brings a youthful vibrance coupled with a tremendous educational ability. Choosing this school to educate my childrren is money well spent.

The staff seems to only want to teach to the highly intelligent and Catholic students. If you child is just average or a little below average in their ability to learn, the staff can be very cruel. If you don't finish a homework assignment the teacher will dispaly your child in front of the principal's office. Now every child in the school will see you child there and make fun of them. The school gives out special awards for writing assignments. That sounds good but the awards always go to the same students(The favorite ones).

As a parent of a first grader I can honestly say that this school has exceeded my expectations. My child has made significant leaps in her educational and social development as a result of an experienced and dedicated faculty. The small classroom setting allows the teachers to identify areas of improvement and ensures that the students advance through the curriculum in unison. This in combination with outstanding teachers has allowed my child to enbrace reading and writting as her confidence is nurtured in this environment. Lastly, the one classroom per grade as allowed my child to establishing close friendships as she transitions from one grade to the next with the same students.

I am a proud graduate of the class of 2007 of Holy Name of Jesus, and I can honestly say that the lessons I learned and the people I met here at Holy Name have truely made me into the person I am today. The teachers at Holy Name of Jesus are one of a kind. They believe in you even when you don't believe in yourself. As a result, they not only help you to become a better student, but they also help you to become the best person you can be:) Holy Name is overall a small school, however I believe that this is one of its best qualities. Having a small school enables you to get to know your classmates really well and the students in other grades. It also permits teachers to give you a lot of attention, which is something that's denied to you when you go to a bigger school. Plus the friends that you make at Holy Name of Jesus are your friends for life:)

CONTINUATION twenty different sports teams, and no team has ever ranked up to the love I ve had of our team at HNJ. The friends I made at HNJ are golden. They are the friends that I can always count on and they ll never tarnish. People at Holy Name respect one another and care for each other immensely. I believe this is due to our small size. By being a small school everyone has the opportunity to get to know one another. HNJ is a school that unites all ages, genders, and races thus creating an unbreakable friendship. I carry Holy Name with me everyday and I work hard to make sure my actions reflect the lessons and values that Holy Name has instilled on me. Holy Name of Jesus isn t just a school, but a foundation for a great future. I am a proud graduate of 2007:)

Holy Name of Jesus was my home away from home for seven years! I remember when I first came to HNJ and thinking that there must be some kind of disease because everyone was always laughing. When I look back on my years at Holy Name I remember how comfortable and happy I was at this school. HNJ is different from all other schools; it is a school that not only teaches the basic academics, but it also prepares you for life. The teachers at HNJ are the best. (Trust me I know) The thing that makes Holy Name teachers different from other teachers is that you know they want you to succeed, and they ll try their hardest to make sure that happens. As far as sport teams go, I think Holy Name is one of the most athletic elementary schools around. Majority of my classmates played sports while at HNJ and have done exceedingly well in high school, and will hopefully do just as well in college! Some of my fondest memories of HNJ took place with the volleyball team. Over the course of my life I have been on close to

Holy Name of Jesus is one of the best Catholic Schools around. The Teachers, Classroom Aids and Principal are exceptional and really care about all of the students. The education that my child is receiving is top notch, my son's grades are above average and he is excelling in every area. The community of parents is also wonderful. It is a special place to belong to and I am happy that my husband and I made the choice to send our son here, and I can not wait for my other son to attend next year as a kindergartener!

I am proud to say that my daughter attends Holy Name of Jesus School in Valhalla. I was initially drawn to the school because of its size, not realizing how much more it has to offer and just how impressed I would eventually be. This is my daughters second year at HNJ and I know I made the right choice to send her there. The faculty is dedicated to providing my daughter with an education that far exceeds any public school. The teacher-child ratio gives my child an advantage over the overcrowded public schools. My daughter receives the attention she needs to develop both academically and emotionally. The principal, Mrs. Stults is extremely dedicated in excelling the school to its fullest potential. She and her staff work diligently to ensure that each child receives an optimal education. They are sincere genuine people that truly care for the well being of our children. If you are considering this school for your child you will not be disappointed.

With it s small class size, attention to the students and their overall development, including their values, Holy Name of Jesus is absolutely the right choice for our daughter. She is not just thriving, she is excelling. She actually loves school, finds learning fun, and actively participates in many of the clubs offered. This is what one wants for ones child we couldn t be happier.
