My children have attended HNJ over the past 10 years and we have been through many changes. The past several years, most importantly this year, have been the most exciting! Our new principal is absolutely fabulous!! She is driven to providing the best educational experience for our children in a warm, safe environment where morals and values are not only taught, by exemplified by the faculty and staff. My children are thriving educationally and I am always so very proud of them with the choices they are making in their lives, proving that they are not just spitting back the values that they learn, but they are living them. This is exactly how I want my children to learn, and to have the HNJ family proving such important grounding in their impressionable lives thrills and impresses me. I hear too many horror stories of what happens in other schools, especially what is tolerated at the public schools, and I am happy that my kids can thrive in a safe environment where bullying and drug/sex experimentation is not tolerated. I highly recommend this wonderful school, most especially under the leadership of our new principal, Mrs Gianni. We'll only continue moving forward!

My daughters enjoy going to school every day and cannot wait to tell me their experiences when they come home. The teachers, parents, and other students have become a second family for them. The school provides an excellent well rounded education in the core subjects and our Catholic Faith.

Both of my daughters attend HNJ and love it there. They cannot wait to go in the mornings and are always sad when the day is over. The school is a home away from home with loving and caring teachers and an amazing principal who teach them values and morals and give them a first class education. As a parent it is an inviting school that is more like an extended family where the parents work together and collaborate for the betterment of the school and it's students.

My daughter is in Pre-k and she loves it. When my husband and I went to open house we could not get over how respectful and polite the two students were towards us as they showed us around. so we knew we were making a good decision and then one day she home once and recited the Our Father and I was so proud. It felt good knowing that I am able to send her a school that will not only teach them what they need to know but will learn our faith as well, So many children do not believe in our Faith and if we can keep a handful it will make the world a better place. I would highly recommend HNJ.

My daughter attends Holy Name of Jesus and we love it there. The school has such a safe and nurturing environment. She attended the Pre-K program and it was excellent. She learned so many things to prepare her for Kindergarten. We felt so at home there that we could see no other place to send our daughter for Kindergarten on up. The principal is always accessible and is very welcoming to all parents should you have any questions or concerns. We love the morals and values that the school teaches and once my son is old enough, he will be there too!

Love this school! My son is getting a 1st class education. I believe this school's focus on science and math is a good preparation for the scientific professions in the future.

My son has been attending Holy Name for two years now. He loves his school, especially the teachers! The teachers from Pre-K were fantastic and the feel of this school is like family. You feel your child is well taken care of and the new principle makes a strong presence as well. We conduct many fundraisers to help our community and I am so proud to have my son continue to learn here!

My daughter had a hard time adjusting to pre-k in another school but the day we came to the HNJ open house she skipped through the hallways (I kid you not) and hugged the principal upon leaving! We started her in K and she has blossomed into a more confident child, who loves her school, friends and teachers. This is such a nuturing environment and great sense of community for the kids, families and school. I highly recommend this school, I have friends with older children in HNJ who are very happy with the level of educaiton their children are being given, this is a fantastic school for kids from pre-k to 8th grade!

My daughter is in pre-k and I am amazed by all she has learned since September. She even knows a bunch of prayers and says grace before meals. This is not something she will learn in a public school. She loves learning, she loves her teachers, and comes home daily with something new she wants to share with us. The fact they my daughter has access to varying academics; from gym to computers, makes me realize how lucky she is to be in a school like this.

Only a few weeks into the pre-k program and my daughter loves it. I like the diversity, school seems non judge mental, hopefully the other parents are welcoming as I am a young mother. Good experience so far.

This school has absolutely NO community feel about it. Five weeks into the year and as a new parent I have not once been acknowledged by more seasoned parents. I have approached them in the halls and am treated like I have the plague. It is VERY CLIQUEY! Even in the youngest grades the feeling is that if you are not from the immediate area (i.e. Valhalla) then you really do not matter. Be careful if your child has any problems at all, even if they are brighter than most. He/she will not be liked by the teachers. New principal, but does not look like too many things will change.

This school is a hidden gem in Westchester County. Great teachers, a Pastor that is so involved it is amazing all he gets done and a Principal that brings a youthful vibrance coupled with a tremendous educational ability. Choosing this school to educate my childrren is money well spent.

The staff seems to only want to teach to the highly intelligent and Catholic students. If you child is just average or a little below average in their ability to learn, the staff can be very cruel. If you don't finish a homework assignment the teacher will dispaly your child in front of the principal's office. Now every child in the school will see you child there and make fun of them. The school gives out special awards for writing assignments. That sounds good but the awards always go to the same students(The favorite ones).

As a parent of a first grader I can honestly say that this school has exceeded my expectations. My child has made significant leaps in her educational and social development as a result of an experienced and dedicated faculty. The small classroom setting allows the teachers to identify areas of improvement and ensures that the students advance through the curriculum in unison. This in combination with outstanding teachers has allowed my child to enbrace reading and writting as her confidence is nurtured in this environment. Lastly, the one classroom per grade as allowed my child to establishing close friendships as she transitions from one grade to the next with the same students.
