My Daugther has attended Shaw Avenue since K and I must say, they have exceeded my expectations. The teachers and staff are very attentive and they intervene if your child has a problem, well before it becomes a problem. The school was just nominated for a Blue Ribbon award and they are more than deserving. Shaw please keep up the good work as I'm a proud to say my child attends Shaw. to the great teachers my daugther has had the pleasure of encountering Mr. Kolinowsky, Ms. Tauber, Ms. Post and Ms. Donaghue....Cheers to you and the rest of the Staff at Shaw.

Kudos to the art and music teachers. Just attend one of their concerts or recitals. As with any other school there are both excellent and average teachers. I don't think enough parental involvement is encouraged. Parents seem to be left on the sidelines. Overall, a good school.

I have a child in this school now and one that has graduated. The academic programs would be much better if they were left to the teachers to teach and not dictated how they should be taught There are not many extracurricular activities but it is only elementary school, there are not normally many at this level. The music and art programs are wonderful thanks to the work put in by those teachers. It's a good school if you can ignore the politics and if you are willing to be involved to ensure your child gets the most out of it.
