Over the last few years the school has declined. The enrollment dropped a lot this year from over 200 in June'11 to about 160 students Sept '11. No major changes to warrant such a drop - people are tired of the administration/management of the district and showed this by pulling their kids and sending them to another district. The teachers/staff do not take a stand and stick up for themselves or colleagues against the rumored workplace bullying. Superintendents contract was not extended, but she is still there collecting a her six-figure salary on the taxpayers dime. Graduation rates are down and the students are not prepared for college level work. Unfortunate downfall of a promising school that had been identified as one of the best schools in the nation in 06-07 and 07-08. The only change has been the culture developed and sustained by the administration my opinion, the students are no longer the first priority.

I found this school good for my kid, who is studying in the pre-school. However have some concerns with the management.

Small school - all the adults know all of the students by name. Very personal environment.

Our school has recently made drastic changes to reduce the student pregnancy problem, and address alchohol abuse. Breathalizers are now issued at all after school events.

A great student to teacher ratio, a district that has never been placed on the state's 'school in need of improvement' list, and a high school that was voted a 'bronze school' by a report issued in the U.S. News and World Report. I guess the evidence speaks for itself. I am a proud graduate and a proud parent of two current elementary students.
