My children have been in this school since kindergarten and it has been nothing but a wonderful experience. The academics are up to par, the two brand new playgrounds are awesome, the PTO is absolutely outstanding in their efforts, the teachers we have experienced are superb. All in all, it has been a great ride and I have one child 'graduating' from the 5th grade this year. Wonderful school...

My son has been in Walden Elementary for one year and the school is pretty much what I thought it would be. It is clean and efficient for my fifth grader. My son experienced the special projects that were never offered in the Bronx ( Spectrum and Odys. of the Mind ). He seems to enjoy going to school and gets along with the other diverse students. Overall, the school fits his needs.

My first experience with Walden Elementary has been wonderful. I have found the staff to be very open and communicative with me. What my daughter has learned in Kindergarten has exceeded my expectations--and matches what my niece is learning in first grade in a nearby school district. The academic programs are innovative and geared toward making learning fun. The parental involvement in the school is wonderful. Parents are welcome in the school and classroom, as well at PTO meetings, etc. Over the course of the year, I have had reason to come in contact with a wide variety of staff at the school and have been pleased with the fact that they all know who my daughter is. They take the time to get to know their students.

My daughter had a wonderful experience for her first year of school- kindergarden. Her teacher was excellant and worked with my child in different ways to find out what systems worked best for her - there was also a alot of functions where the parents could be involved and overall i thought this was the best school choice to continue with for my child
