As of this year, there is a new principal and is wonderful! Teachers aren't bad, all my kids (6 so far) are above average/honor students. Kindergarten is going full day next year. Space wise not sure what they will do. The building is old but that is expected unless they tear it down and rebuild. All the schools are older.

There are some excellent teachers and there are a few below average teachers. The condition of the building needs some serioius help. The principle is not really present in the school and lacks leadership abilities.

Fishkill Plains has wonderful, caring teachers who look out for each child as individuals, not masses of kids. The school is a quiet community that involves all children in the learning process and there's no way we'd leave until our son moves to th junior high!

The teachers from 1st on are wonderful. The Kindergarten program leaves a lot to be desired and the Principal us unavailable to the parents and is rarely seen in the halls. If you can get past that, the teachers that we have delt with were very good. The building it's self needs improvement and they need more classes. There is no A/C and teachers are not allowed window or portable units. It can be unbearable in the summer. The office does have A/C however and that helps

My daughter went to this school from K-5 and my two sons from K-1. Overall, I thought the teachers were very good and caring. The academics, however, is standard and I think it could have been more challenging. The principal is also not very available to parents but seems to be reaching out to students. I understand that the secretaries are very busy, but they are hardly friendly. There is a good PTA involvement though.
