It has been my pleasure to serve this school as a substitute teacher. The principals, Mr. Ferrara and Mrs. Burgess, are a great team that hold EVERYONE accountable and never stop pushing faculty and students alike to achieve their personal and academic potential. The character education program is a winner as well, as almost every student shows maturity beyond their years in their interactions with each other and their teachers. The school also performs well on standardized testing and students who do well and show improvement are greatly rewarded. This is a difficult age for kids, and middle school makes all the difference as to how successful they are in high school and beyond. WMS grads are certainly capable of handling the challenges that they face. I would work here full time if the opportunity presented itself.

This school principal, assistant principal, teachers and staff all care about the students both academically and as individuals. Everyone works hard to make sure that all students are successful at what they do in school and in life.

This school faces a lot of challenges but the Principal, teachers and staff work hard and really care about the kids. If kids come to school prepared and at all motivated to learn, they will give him/her a really good education. My sense is that the students who are failing, for the most part, have parents who fail to do their part at home. We're amazed at how much our child is learning in all the various classes. And the curriculum is tough!

This school could be a great school again if they would hire teachers that can respect the students the way they want to be respected and didnot constantly scream at the kids in front of people. Teachers need to learn to be trusted and need to learn how to gain a students trust , screaming and embarrassing them will not work. With the way the the assisitant principle is olaying favortism is not helping. Because of the way things get handeled my children dont even want to finish they want to drop out.
