I thought Wiley was one of the best public schools I have seen. The fact that they can offer the students access to a planetarium right in the school for science is amazing! The teachers were caring and well qualified to meet the needs of the students. I was also especially impressed with the extra curricular activities at the school. I had one daughter attend and another will attend next year and I have no worries about the second daughters success.
at the moment i am going to wiley and they are putting walls in. My teachers are nice and the students too parents who dont like this school have no idea how hard they try to make school fun and safe. I think they are doing a good job
Wiley was a great school when I went there a few years back i had no problems with the teachers or other students. The teacher made everything make since and the layout is great easy to find your way around and such my father was in the military so i went to alot of schools but that was by far one of the best i loved it
I do think that Wiley is a good school, but this year we have had some problems with my nieces teacher. She does not seem like teaching is her passion any longer and maybe it is time for her to move on to something different or retire, because her negative attitude has had a huge effect on the students in her class. This is not only my opinion, there have been problems with other parents/students as well. My niece had perfect attendence the last 3 years in a row until this year...she just hates going into school now and says it is due to the way her teacher talks to her like she is 'nothing'. I do not appreciate this at all and the school has not taken my voice on this issue very seriously.
I am unhappy with this school at this time. I have a child who is reading and writing disabled and I feel that are not taking the proper steps to help him. I also feel that teachers don't want to hear parent concerns. This is based on my experience and just based on current teachers.
I love this school. My daughter has gone there all 3 years and we never had a problem with any of her teachers or the other staff. A lot of peoiple look at the fact that there are no walls in this school, the rooms are divided with walls you would see in an office. It didn't affect my daughter's learning, in fact she is a A-B student. We are a military family and this is the best school my daughter has been to.
I am very, very disappointed in this school. There are a few teachers who ruin it for all other teachers. The few teachers have power struggles with parents which are reflected on the children. I definitely do not like the attitude or teachers saying, 'I have tenure, you can do nothing to me.' I had to take my child out of that school and put him in a Catholic school two years in a row.
I really like this school. The teachers go out of their way in the special education department to ensure your child gets the help they need.
