This school has been absolutely wonderful for my children! I love the parental involvement and the communication between the teachers and parents. And Chad Fairchild the principal is amazing!

My daughter only attended this school for a few months before we had to move (military) but I loved it and she loved it. Although we had a limited experience, I was involved in PTO, etc. so I felt like I got to know the principal and some staff. They are all great. My daughter loves going to school and her teacher is wonderful. She learned a lot in her few months there.

It's a good school if you have a kid with a disability or any kid for that matter.

Both my sons went to Knickerbocker when they were little. I think it was a great school for young children.

Test driven curriculum. No depth beyond the state assessments. Completely lacking in current technology applications.

We love Knickerbocker!!!From the Principal, to the parent involvement, everything is wonderful!!!We have 1 daughter who is currently in 2nd grade, and a son who is in kindergartin, they both love school!!!!We have a 3 year old who will be in school in a couple years, and soon expecting our 4th child, we are currently looking to sell our house to make room for our growing family, and the one thing I told our realtor that was most importaint is we stay in Knickerbocer school district.I am not a parent who wants my child to have homework everynight, I want to spend time with them when they some home, so the no homework comment I do disagree on.I do know i 1st grade my daughter brought home nightly reading, ad had to write about the book and draw a picture about it.I think the amount to work they bring home is perfect!!!!!

I love Knickerbocker! Mr. Hall is an excellent principal and really cares about the children. It depends on the teacher as far as bringing treats in and homework (in reference to above comment). But I don't mind baking cookies now and again. We are moving from this area to a different school district and I'm stressing over finding a school for my daughter comparable to Knickerbocker. I only have nice things to say about it.

We had concerns over our son entering 3rd grade as he struggled in the 2nd grade in a different state. Mr. Hall spent well over an hour with us explaining test scores, school standards, etc. It was wonderful that he took the time to meet with us and to listen to all our concerns and answer all our questions. He is truly invested in his work and cares for the children at Knickerbocker Elementary.

My daughter is only in kindergarten, this is her first yearat Knickerbocker but so far we do not care for this school. Every time you turn around they are asking the parents to bring something in. I don't feel like the teachers are taking time to teach the kid's.

Parent Participation is wonderful, however the academic curriculum is anything but challenging. Dont expect homework, ever! My son has been there for two years and has never brought home an assignment. The teacher and administration are wonderful but schools are not just supposed to be pleasant to the children and family but a challenge to help children reach and push their academic limits. I am obviously not satisfied or content with the curriculum of this school. If your interested curriculum you may want to consider private school or moving elsewhere. Sorry!
