State Road Elementary School

We built our home in Webster on six acres near this school so our children could start school at State Road. We looked at all the schools with building land near them and State Road to us was the best we toured. Our son just completed grade K and is moving up to first grade in the fall. The teachers here are wonderful, I was able to help out my sons class one afternoon a week and it was fantastic. Mrs. Smith 110% encourages her Kinder children to love school and to read as many books as they can each week. Our son thanks to her is reading at a level eight! I can not believe he tested so high and I can not thank her enough for all the compassion she shows her two classes each and every school day. The Principal is so caring for each child in her school. On the days I volunteer each week she is walking the halls and constanly visiting the classrooms to see how the teachers and students are doing.

This school is Great!! We transfered our boys there 3 years ago and the staff has bent over backwards to accomodate them.

Every time I went into school I saw parents in one classroom or another. Teachers were excited to share their knowledge and keep students engaged. Overall academic programs are high on quality.

I am going into my 16th year of teaching at STate Road School. I wouldn't think of teaching anywhere but here. The teachers are of the highest calibar. The collegiality is exceptional. We as a staff are family! The students at State Road are true 'Eagles of Excellence'. They show respect, persevere, and cooperate with each other and staff to achieve the best possible education. Discipline problems are minimal due to mutual respect and communication between staff, studenst and parents! The parents at STate Road are second to none! Those that can volunteer in their spare time do so. Those that work outside the home are there to do what they can to help out, whether it be cutting out patterns at night,or preparing class parties. Parents support their child's education by communicating pertinent information to school, helping their child with homework and attending school functions. The acronym 'TEAM - Together Everyone Achieves More' is a perfect representation of our State Road Family!
