Amazing school!!! My child's self-esteem, concentration, and over all academic abilities grew in leaps and bounds while attending South Bay. The excellent care and attention given to my child by all the professionals embodies what a true academic environment all children should have access to. If all our schools could replicate the South Bay model, we would have a stronger educational system in this country.

These children are being taught to pass a state exam - nothing else. We pay insane taxes and have to provide over $100 worth of supplies for 'community supply box'. There are no extras for the children & I believe they are just pushed through the grades. While some of the teachers really seem to care for the kids, others should really find another profession that doesn't deal with children. In addition, there doesn't seem to be a dress code as I have seen some teachers dressed like it's Friday night at a bar. Rather inappropriate for a position that should be respected.

I agree with what was posted by the previous parent about South Bay's principal. She does not display fair professionalisim at all times when dealing with every child within the school. There also should be more after-school-extra help, activities and/or child care available for all children. South Bay does not offer any 'extra's' for children as many other districts do.

This is a wonderful school. My child has had great caring teachers and programs that make her tell me just this week she can't wait for school to start. Even though there is still 2 weeks of camp left. This school is great because of the terrific teachers and the caring involved principal. I hope they keep up the good work and keep inspiring my child to learn as well as they have.
