I'm sorry, but whoever rated this school 5 stars must also work for the school in reality. As a drop out and former student of this school, I can tell that if you are moving into this area, I would make sure to do my best to avoid this school at ALL costs. Their is a HUGE line drawn between which students this schools favors and which ones they don't. Bullying has also become a major issue in this school. Even some teachers could be viewed as bullies if they don't like a student. Their used to be a couple of very wonderful teachers that worked here, but they were recently forced into retirement by bribery. The principals and superintendent also make way to much money. I'm sorry, but NOBODY who is a principal or superintendent of a school who has LESS THEN 500 students deserves to make over 100K PER YEAR.

The principal is very nice, and considerate. He tries to compromise and help the students. The teachers are a different story, and you need to be an active parent in order to make sure things are going well. From personal experience I know for a fact that at least 2 of my son's teachers never bothered to look at his 504 plan and they do not like to use the email system to keep in touch with parents.

In 2012-2013 New York used the New York State Regents Examinations to test high school students in English, math, global history and geography, US history and government, living environment, chemistry, Earth science and physics. Students must take at least five Regents Exams in order to graduate. Scores of 65 and above are passing; scores of 55 and above earn credit toward a local diploma (with the approval of the local board of education). The goal is for all students to pass the tests.

About the tests


In 2012-2013 New York used the New York State Regents Examinations to test high school students in English, math, global history and geography, US history and government, living environment, chemistry, Earth science and physics. Students must take at least five Regents Exams in order to graduate. Scores of 65 and above are passing; scores of 55 and above earn credit toward a local diploma (with the approval of the local board of education). The goal is for all students to pass the tests.

The different student groups are identified by the New York Department of Education. If there are fewer than 5 students in a particular group, the state doesn't report data for that group.
