I think Lewiston porter middle school is a good school. Like any other school, it has a few teachers who never should have been teachers in the first place. But the teachers union makes it very hard for the school to get rid of them, which is sad. But all in all it is a good school with great programs for the kids. And they seem to like parent involvement. Some of the most wonderful teachers there are, Mrs Joy Khatib, Miss Hudson and Miss Schilk. Teachers like them is what make this school so special. Thank you.

I believe that the school needs to get rid of some teachers that have been there for too long. Just because they have tenor doesn't mean they know how to teach. Review them yearly. Check out their teaching methods. My child is in advanced classes yet the teachers do not know how to teach them. They are more interested in telling stories about themselves and their families. Yet there are other teachers that are wonderful. The most important thing is to review the teahcers, grade them on their teaching skills like the students are graded.
