Orientation this year is tomorrow and I am certain that Mr Mace will impress upon the students how important thier involvement is in the learning process as well as the dedication of him and his entire staff to providing a safe learning environment. We want to help prepare the students by showing them how to learn and challenging them to reach higher than they have in the past.

I am not certain you have looked at a)how many students are at this school or b)how much paperwork a teacher or administrator actually does or even c)the amount of time left for an outside life this leaves for anything for a teacher or administrator, but regardless, the next time you think of making any of these judgments, think of all of this. The time you took to make your observations was time that I am pretty certain a school worker does not even have to have lunch. Enjoy yours.

I have been here for two years and I would have to say that this school is average. I think that most of the teachers, faculty, and staff have the best interest of the students in mind and treat them well, while some do not...that's at about every school though! I do not think that the academics here will fully prepare me for college because they aren't very competitive. A lot of students here don't care about anything and I think that is the true reason our scores are low...not because of the teachers. The sports aspect of this school is good-if you play football. Football is just about the only sport focused on, but I guess that isn't too bad. The thing that I hate most about it here is the absent policy!

I am very pleased with the communication between teacher, student and parent. I truly feel the teachers at HCHS have been a true inspiration to my son, who is a LD Student with special needs. The teachers allow me as the parent to have opinions and provide feedback to them. Thank you!

There should be more communication from teachers to parents concerning problems in classes before the grading periods are over. Not at the end of the school year! .Students with SLD and Learning disabilities should be espically noticed more and their needs met better so they can recieve the best education possible... There are students who are getting left behind!! It is the teachers responsibility and job to see that students get the best education possible. It is a parents responbility to ensure this as well!! Mostly the student should enjoy being at school and intrested in learning and this happens when the student knows the teacher cares about them. .

I don't feel that Harnett Central High School offers a competitive education, in preparing it's students for college.

I am very disappointed in the Harnett County school system atleast with this school. The statement no child left behind is very unsat. in this case. I don't think the time to teach the kids by the teachers is taken. Hand out should not be a end to teaching. There should be alot more class contact going on. Not all children learn the same so we should make sure we take every approuch possiable to help all students. Also when a parent is involved and cares about the childs education that should be a plus and that also should be a priority. That should be a flag for the teacher ' I have a parent who cares'. My child can study to the cows come home but that isn't going to help her if she is retaining it and to hand out papers and not talk about it well.. TKWILLIAMS
