At this school the principal and her assistant seem to be daily involved in everything that is happening. When you first walk in you feel welsomed and the children seem happy and loved. The teachers seem to really truly love their jobs! II wish they could stay her forever!
The third grade teachers are GREAT. By far the best I have ever seen. They go above and beyond their duties, always have a smile on their face, and are always willing to help with any questions or problems. My child was in a different county last year, and I was a little worried about the transition for her. They made everything move smoothly and made my child feel so comfortable and welcomed. I am completely satisfied with everything that has occurred this year. When you walk in the front door you can sense the family atmosphere. All of the teachers are friendly and helpful. I can't wait for my 3 year old to attend NHPS.
I feel that as with any school there are going to be issues, but overall I am very pleased with this school. The teachers are friendly and I feel like they always have the best interest of teh students at heart. I think that here they not only teach them the knowledge to succeed academically, but they also teach them manners, accountability, responsibility and character. too often these things are not taught and that is why kids behave as they do today. Out of all the schools in the area, I love this school. My daughter adores it and so does my son who will start kindergarten this year. Does it have its problems-yes, but overall it is a great place for kids to be educated!
This has got to be the worse school in Harnett County. There is no organization to any event and or programs, horrible worksheets, intolerant teachers that do not need to be teaching children because of little or NO patience, constant pandering for money. Very poor communication between parents and teachers even though all students have a folder called the communicator for that purpose, but the parent never receives answers or responses to questions or concerns unless they complain more than once. Big projects like the Science Fair are given out on VERY short notice, because the teacher forgot to stick the assignment in the communicator. The whole entire school lacks professionalism, communication skills, and organization.
