My child graduated from this school and was very well prepared for college. Not only did she finish a college degree, but was very well prepared and qualified for a merit scholarship after one year. This was excellent preparation , given she was a learning disabled student who wasn't supposed to graduate high school and not qualify for college.

I sent my child to Orton Academy at first because it seemed like a peaceful environment for strong academics. To my surprise, this was not the case, in fact possibly the exact opposite. The environment of the school is a hostile one and the students are pushed in ways that are more hurtful and abusive than helpful and supportive. The example given to the students by the so-called 'leaders' of the school is a very poor one. I would not suggest this school for anyone.

I am very impressed with the quality of teachers. Orton offers a small classroom setting with an excellent curriculum.

About these ratings

The Community Rating is the school’s average rating from its community members (e.g., parents, students, and school staff). The highest possible rating is five stars; the lowest is one star.

We currently do not have any test score information for this school. Unlike public schools, private schools are not always required to report data about their schools or not required to take the same tests as public schools. Many private schools take different standardized tests; however, that information is often made available only to families of enrolled students. We strive to acquire additional private school data whenever available.
