I read the post about the "exceptional child." The lack of communication had to be the parent. All E.C. students are placed in a regular classroom then are served for the time posted on the Individual Education Plan. BCC doesn't have a class just for "exceptional children" I have yet to meet anyone at BCC that has not gone out of their way to make all the students/families feel a part of the school. Great things are happening there.
I have a daughter in 3rd grade with Mrs. Champion and she is doing well. Despite working withthe school prior to our transfer they were unable to provide appropriate accomodations to my exceptional child before he was adversly affected by being placed in a 'regular' classroom. There is a definite lack of communication among the staff when exceptional children are concerned.
This is our first year at BC central. I really like the school. Our daughter has Mrs. Riddle and she is a great teacher. The people in the office are very friendly and helpful. I look forward to a great year at this school for my child.
