I am a former student and i have seen this school go down hill in the past 5 years. I am going to college to become a teacher and have always wanted to teach where i grew up. Now i will never work for that school system.

Brevard High is consistently a top performing high school in the State of NC where the teachers know and challenge their students. In 2005 they were the only high school in the state to receive recognition for achieving and surpassing their goals for growth. They were recently reaccredited. Their art and design program is one of the best in the nation according to some of the comments made by college students in this field. BHS is planning on building an Art and Design Gallery for all the students in the county.
