The school has gone downhill ever since Jan Hargrove left. My children have attended since the school first opened. Mrs. Hargrove was incredible and made TCE what it was. A few years ago she left and the school has changed for the worst. To be fair, we gave the new principal one year. It was horrible. The new teachers that she brought with her should not be teaching. We complained and never got results. You never see the principal and my children went from loving TCE to disliking it.

I wish we had our previous Principal back. Not impressed with the direction the school has taken since she left. Test scores down, never seen Principal. When she is seen she is giving her stellar admin staff a hard time.

I check and speak with my kids about their school and schoolwork. From what I have seen, the materials taught is either one or two grades below what it should be. I understand some kids take time to catch up but this is not the way. Also, this hinders the students who can move ahead. Maybe they can start a gifted program or some sort. Also, it does not seem like they have much homework either. It is hard for me to assess their level when nothing comes home besides a vague progress report.

Although I don't have a lot of time to get more involved in activities at the school I know a lot of other parents do. I have met the teachers for my third grader and Kindegartener and they both impressed me as being dedicated and involved teachers. There are many opportunities to volunteer at the school and to get involved with what's going on there. I am impressed with the school and would recommend it to other parents who want a quality school, great teachers, and an involved community.

Turner Creek is such a great school. The students are taught at their own pace as much as I've seen at a private school. My second grade student is given many challenging activities that do not involve a set of work sheets to simply keep her busy. Whan my son had this same teacher, he was given all the extra reading help he needed to catch up to grade level. Both of my children love coming to school every day.

Turner Creek is an amazing school - my thanks to Mrs. Hargrove and her dedicated team of teachers and support faculty! My daughter has attended two private schools in the past and the support she receives at Turner Creek far surpasses the private schools. I am very involved in both my children's classes - field trips, reader's workshop, reading to the class and visiting for lunch. We're thrilled to be part of the Tree Frog Community!

Turner Creek is an awesome school! Jan Hargrove is incredible with the students and staff and she strives to make the school environment one in which everyone is successful! The staff is very dedicated and hardworking. Many teachers remain at school into the evening hours and will request the building be open on Saturdays to prepare for the coming week(s). The parents and students seem very happy with the programs available and the support they get from staff and administration. Turner Creek has a wonderful population of parents who are welcome and encouraged to be a part of his/her child's classroom (not observing and critiquing, but helping and supporting students and teachers)! I could not be more pleased with the experience I've had at Turner Creek!

Turner Creek is a FABULOUS school! The principle is great, with being nominated for Principle of the Year several years in a row now, as proof! The staff is overall very good, with many dedicated teachers. To rate the entire school poorly due to one poor experience with a single teacher is not fair to all of the teachers who do go above and beyond. Great communication, parental involvement, an active PTA, make this a School of Excellence!

Turner Creek has not lived up to the hype!! The school was supposed to be the absolute best thanks to the principal and team of teacher's she's hired. Our child's teacher should have been fired years ago for sheer laziness! She doesn't want to grade papers so she doesn't give homework, and 98% of the classwork that does comes home is uncorrected. We discovered she can't even answer the math problems she gives her students!! This school year has been a waste of time. Our child has learned so little!

This is the best school!! I have never experienced a school where the priniciple knows each student by name. Every teacher is here to help the students learn to their fullest potential. The teachers love to be there because it is such a positive enviroment. This school makes learning fun. The kids want to be here and it shows from their progress each year. Its an honor to be able to attend such a wonderful school!
