Grace Covenant Academy (GCA) has the most wonderful, nuturing teachers and staff balanced perfectly with a superior academic program. GCA has created an environment where our children feel valued and loved, therefore perform to their greatest potential. Coming from a public school that did not believe in nuturing our child, we truly see the difference encouragement and a love for children can make! Our family would HIGHLY recommend GCA!!!! We are so blessed to be there.

We decided to send our children to Grace Covenant Academy because we believed that it offered one of the best academic programs available in the greater Charlotte area. It was only after they began attending school there that we realized just how many loving and caring people were involved with our children's education, and you can't research that during and open house. Our children now consider school their second home. We love it!

I would not hesitate to recommend GCA. The environment is fabulous. It is nuturing, loving and peaceful. My child is so happy there. The class sizes are small, which the administration is committed to uphold. The parent-teacher-administration communication is wonderful. There are regular parent 'coffee chats' where pertinent information is shared. I also can't say enough good things about the leadership. They are top-notch and set a great example and tone which radiates throughout the school. Yes, I do agree that no school is perfect. But I have had my child in other schools before and none could compare to GCA. In my opinion, it is the best of the best.

My son has attended GCA for four years now and it has been a great experience. No school is perfect and for parents to think any school will be so is very naive. Whenever I have had any issue with the school, be it a teacher or leadership, my concern is always heard and addressed. GCA is doing a great job in helping us to bring up our child with solid Christian values and I am grateful for the safe and loving environment I know he is in every day. Every year the school makes improvements, add programs and does all it can to provide more benefits to the families of GCA. Keep up the great work!

I am an extremely proud parent of two GCA students and I daily thank our Heavenly Father for the blessings of the staff and administration who make GCA the place it is.Exceptional academics and caring individuals flow through the hallways of the academy. I highly recommend Grace Covenant Academy.

Excellent academics and affordable tuition keep us at GCA. The tuition at GCA is much more affordable than what we found at the other Christian schools in the area. They do not have other hidden capital fees. At the end of every school year, we ask ourselves educationally 'How could GCA get any better next year?' Yet each year our daughter's teacher seems to top the one from last year. We feel that our daughter is getting an excelllent education. The educational environment continues to allow her to perform much higher than her actual grade level. GCA has been the best kept secret in Lake Norman for several years.

GCA was not at all what we expected. The quality of our child's teacher was very poor, despite us being told that this was a seasoned, teacher. The teacher was often heard speaking in an intimidating tone to the children. There was rarely study information sent home for us to help our child prepare for tests and we were often not notified of a test until a day or two before. There were also no work books for some subjects. When inquiring about this, we were told that the curriculum does produce them but that the school (for whatever reason, I don't know) did not purchase them. There was an ongoing breakdown in communication. Even after seeking help from administration, things did not change and it seemed as if their attitude was that we shouldn't be so concerned and ask all of these questions. GCA was a huge disappointment.

I would not recommend Grace Covenant Academy. There are some good teachers but some that should not be there. When my child got a teacher who was intimidating, not nurturing and very inconsistent, I sought help from the principal which got me nowhere. My child is now behind academically as well and will likely need to repeat this grade. There is an extreme lack in leadership within this school. This year's experience was horrible, my child was the one who suffered and on top of it, we paid a monthly tuition. We certainly did not get what we paid for. I am hopeful for next year and looking forward to my child returning to the public school system.

We would not recommend this school. My child attended GCA and it was such a disappointing experience for us. The teacher was often heard yelling at the class by me as I would enter the school. My child was not used to yelling and quickly became afraid to go to school because she didn't want to be yelled at. The teacher (and administration) refused to understand what was happening and my child started to withdraw. This coupled with the school's academic side lagging behind the school we previously attended (which they refused to believe as well), we were soon labled as 'your child just doesn't get it'. Our experience was not the nurturing, loving, Christian, environment we had planned for. Thankfully, my child is doing exceptionally well and thriving in a gifted program now. I am glad we followed 'his' advice and not others.

I can not say enough good things about GCA. My sons teacher was incredible in every aspect of learning from educational to spiritual learning. The leadership of this school exceeds all expectations. Every staff member is loving and caring and wants the best for every child. I would recommend this school to anyone wanting their child to experience qualified, professional, loving, Christian educators, and excellence. Hope to be back at GCA and NC soon.
