Profile Completeness

INTERMEDIATE

Want to improve this school’s profile? You can!

All schools on GreatSchools begin with BASIC completeness, which includes important information like contact details and test scores. It’s up to the school community to take the next steps. As a parent or community member, you can share what you know with other families by writing a review or answering a few questions about what the school offers. As a school leader, you can upload photos, describe school programs, and more with an Official school profile.

The completeness meter moves to INTERMEDIATE, then ADVANCED, and finally HONOR ROLL as you complete the following: 10 or more reviews, at least 1 photo, and 9 program questions parents find helpful.

I personally go to North Lincoln Middle School, and I'll be graduating this June, after three years at NLMS. Quite honestly, after all the time spent here, I can say I absolutely hate this school. The teachers are decent, and the curriculum is taught in an understandable way, but the students, and things like buses, lunch, and how problems are handled... Well, it's awful. Buses are WAY overcrowded (which results in lots of issues), lunches are terrible (we have had green hamburgers/hotdogs, and it all tastes like cardboard), and the principles/administrators resort to sending students to ALC(basically In School Suspension), or just out of the room, which takes away learning time. To anyone who is looking at going to this school, don't believe the hype. The cons definitely out way the pros. This school is not anywhere near as good as it's made out to be.

My son goes to the 6th grade at NLMS. We are 6 months into the school year and so far so good! No complaints. Seems to be a great school!

The teachers really care about the children and go out of their way to make sure they succeed. My son had a very successful 6th grade yr thanks impart to his wonderful teachers. I can not say enough about Mr Lowe the band instructor, he has been wonderful with my son who has ADHD, very patience, but firm with a sincere concern for his succcess. His current 7th grade teachers have also been very involued, want to see him do well, and go out of their to make sure he is. The after-school program aka Action club is a great way to make sure they finish HW and get the extra help they may need.

Lincoln County Schools in general is a breath of fresh air in the Charlotte Area. They plan for growth without taxing the citizens to death. PCMS has only about 5 mobile class rooms and a new Middle school is opening next year in the fall of 2007. The quality of education is on par with the best of the Southeast Charlotte Schools, but they are much smaller and the children get the individual attention. The school is also able to offer advanced courses to get the students ready for AP and Honors courses in High School. PCMS offers Band, art and all major sports. Parent involvement is very good for a middle school.

I wouldn't change a thing with our school. It is a great place for children to get a great education, and have a faculity that really cares.
