This school has very disruptive students and they also get into lots of fights! My teachers there are excellent but some seem to have no control over their loud classrooms!
Please whatever you do ...Do not send you child to this school! The teachers do not care....They have no respect for the school nor the children! The teachers frankly don't give a rats behind as long as the kids are quiet and not disrupting the classes. If your child has add or adhd please don't send your child to this school! This school is only worried about funding and what they can get payed! This statement comes from myself.....My child had detention....Never once did they call my house to say something....3 Weeks after the detention I get a note threw the mail!!!!!!!!!!!!......Yet we are a military connected family and any child that is federally connected the school gets money....Well I felt no need to sign that paper because honestly if you cannot even take the time to make sure I know my child got into trouble then you ain't gettinnothing!
DMS has been a disappointment to us. Teachers have come and gone and kids are out of control. One good thing is this year we have a new pricipal. Maybe he can get a handle on things.
Dunn Middle is an overall great school. The teachers are well qualified and the students make great scores on the EOG.Also they have special classes for disruptive students, so that the students who want to learn get an education well deserved.
