We are homeschooling next year because of a possible move and other things going on with family members, but I tell everyone that asks that New Life is the best school in the area for elementary kids. My three children all attended and I was very impressed with what they learned in just one semester! The Abeka curriculum is very rigorous and the character instruction is just wonderful. My boys were attending a highly rated public school before New Life and they were SO much happier at New Life. Caring teachers, great curriculum and a lovely, safe school make a winning combination. For a private school, they are also very affordable, have after care available and offer summer camps as well. If you are anti-Christian, you will not like this school, but otherwise its a great school.

This school is doing amazing thiings! Currently we are educating over 100 students from preschool - 6th grade. The staff is dedicated to creating an atmosphere where students can thrive academically as well as socially. We are excited to be making a difference in our community~

The faculty and families is what makes this school a "Great School". We are so lucky to have found one of Elizabeth City's best kept secrets. The Abeka curriculum stands alone, but when it is coupled with a perfect student/teacher ratio you have a success story waiting to happen. The staff is caring and sensitive to individual needs; clearly going out of their way to help your child succeed. Given the choices in the area, I think New LIfe tops them all!

This is an awesome school. My daughter has attended since she was 3 and is still there. Small class size, ABEKA program and Faith based lessons. The school is growing each year and currently goes up to the 6th grade.

About these ratings

The Community Rating is the school’s average rating from its community members (e.g., parents, students, and school staff). The highest possible rating is five stars; the lowest is one star.

We currently do not have any test score information for this school. Unlike public schools, private schools are not always required to report data about their schools or not required to take the same tests as public schools. Many private schools take different standardized tests; however, that information is often made available only to families of enrolled students. We strive to acquire additional private school data whenever available.

Oops! We currently do not have any student information for this school. We rely on the state Department of Education, the National Center for Education Statistics (NCES), and in some cases school administrators such as registrars and principals for this data.
