There is much to be desired from East Bladen. One of which having more elective courses. Discipline wouldn't hurt either, many students are quick to snap at teachers, will not listen, and yet many of the teachers simply let them and argue back, usually there won't be anything other than the argument, however, once in a blue moon I'll see a write up. Let's not forget the not so uncommon announcements we hear at the end of the day about people having their belongings stolen, I realize it is not the schools fault for this bit, however it feels like the schools quality diminishes every time the announcement is made. Guidance and Administration seems to have a minor communication problem, considering the past 2 years whenever I get my schedule made, I have been told by 2 different people in the guidance department that a pathway course (a set of 4 linked elective courses on top of standard required courses) were required. I was told by the principal that this was false. So, as you can see, competence is scarce here. Credit needs to be given to those who do their job, and do it well, however the what the competent accomplish pales in comparison to what the incompetent fail to.
thank- you for such a wonderful princpal, you have made a different in EAST BLADEN SCHOOL
I am a student at this school ,and i am very pleased with the education that i have been receiving.
Why would the people in charge put a sudents 2 physical classes ROTC and PE before any of the other classes. Don't know of anyone who could concentrate on anything after having those 2 classes back to back. Someone needs to be more careful about the classes are arranged!
Our faculty is wonderful, and our Principal is one of the best I have ever worked for. We are on the verge of great things here at East Bladen, we just need the support of the community. We see our parents out at all of the sporting events. They show great pride in our childrens athletic accomplishments, we just wish they would spend more time with our childrens learning.
I had a blast my junior year great teachers and friendly students
Cons: They don't have enough math teachers (2) for the entire school. One of them teaches classes after school. Not all of the courses that you would find in most high schools are offered. For example; physics, calculus, drama... Pros: The principal is great. He is working very hard to improve the school and is trying to infuse some pride in the students. He has a lot of work to do with very little resources.
I used to attend East Bladen my freshman and sophmore year and can varify it's overall exemplary conduct. The teachers are amazing and are more than willing to help any student no matter the time or day. They have an amazing faculty overall, and even the lunch ladies care for your well-being. As for safety, there was never a moment while I attended that I ever felt threatened. They are strict believers in the school's code of conduct and give firm punishments when the rules are broken. This school will always hold a special place in my heart, that was the only school I could truly ever call my home team.
My daughter recently graduated from this school in May of 2004. The atmosphere is very protected, vibrant, and friendly. The Teachers were always there to tell you about what was going on with your child. They have great Academic programs, art programs, and Sports programs. The surveilance in the school in my opinion was very strict. It seemed as if they didn't trust the students. This is a very beautiful school and I couldn't have chosen a better school for my daughter to go to than East Bladen High School.
