THE WORST SCHOOL MY CHILDREN HAVE EVER ATTENDED.THEY WILL NOT GO NEXT YEAR MY YOUNGEST WILL BE PAST TO THE NEXT GRADE AND HAS NO CLUE HOW TO READ OR WRITE BUT THE PRINCIPAL SAYS MY CHILDS TEST SCORES SHOW MY CHILD IS READY. THE TEACHER DOES THE WORK AND NOW MY CHILD IS SUFFERING AND NO ONE THERE CARES. MY CHILD HAD A PROBLEM IN HER CLASS AND THE PRINCIPAL BLAMED MY CHILD AS THE PROBLEM. I HAVE NEVER GOT A RESPONCE TO ANY CONFRENCE REQUEST I HAVE SENT .

2 years ago, the school was blessed with a new leader. She is the example of great leadership, great support, and most of all definitely puts the children first. Turn over has decreased tremedously and there are many great staff members. Our scores are reflective of the caring and much capable and caring leadership as well as teachers. The teachers here love the children and get the parents involved as much as possible. There is peace, empowerment, and love in the school now! This is a great place to work and to learn.

This is my first time visiting this site and I have to say that I am shocked at the low reviews I am seeing. I have three children at Cumberland Road (PreK, K and 2nd) and I have to say that I am very happy and so are they. I do admit that parent involvement is kind of lacking - at PTA often more teachers are there than parents- but otherwise this is a great school. Cumberland County is extremely fortunate to have a public (free!) Montessori school. And, if you haven't looked lately, test scores are up!

Cumberland Road is a wonderful school with caring teachers and administration. They work to make sure that the children feel safe and they have very high expectations.

My child attends cumberland road and the quality of his education is very poor because of the lack of experience of the teachers and no caring attitudes from the administration the only thing my child enjoy was going to the cafeteria.

My child attends CRES, but not after this year. They've a huge turn over rate; can't seem to keep good teachers. Little discipline in any of the classes/grades. Teachers are either too old to care if the kids are learning or fresh out of college and haven't a clue of what to do. Poor test scores says it all. Parent involvement? That refers to a PTA of 3-4 people.

I have two daughters that go to this school and i enjoy them being there. My children are reading so much earlier and better than when i was thier age. I think that they need more schools like this around. I also enjoy the new safety measures they are taking. Great job

This is one of the worst schools around. We felt there was a problem with our sons classroom and the way the teacher was going about things. we went to the principal with our problem the only thing she could say was that the test show otherwise. If you look at this schools test grades you will see that they aren't very good. I will not allow any of my other children to go to this school.
