We had our granddaughter enrolled at St Ann's for the past 4 years, and it's been a tremendous experience. Four excellent teachers, small classes, and a curriculum focused on the basic skills. She's been academically challenged, safe, and happy. I don't think you can ask for more. Most parents are dedicated, supportive, and free of drama. I personally participated in the School Improvement Team for the 2012 Accreditation and will attest to the selfless committment of the faculty and principal. Like all Catholic schools, SACS lives on the margins for revenue vs expenses--but I've personally seen how every dollar is spent wisely and focused on the school's greatest needs. This year's Accreditation report speaks volumes about how the school functions and the student/citizens it produces.
St. Ann is a fabulous place of learning that just received the highest grades from AdvancEd, the accreditation agency that rates all public and private schools. It has a faculty with more than half holding advanced degrees in their subject areas. It is a family environment with the lowest tuition rate of any private school in the area. Highly recommended.
While St. Ann may not have all the "bells and whistles" it does offer a nuturing environment for students. The teachers are wonderful and with the exception of one grade, classes are small. The school has a very diverse group of learners and the teachers strive to meet each students needs. Each week the students attend Mass and are offered many opportunities to join in many different activities. The school has several smart boards and is looking to purchase more to use in the classrooms. The technology lab has recently been updated with new computers and new schoolwide websites have been purchased as well. If you're looking for a family like environment for your child, send them to St. Ann!
My children have been attending St Ann's for three years now and I have watched the rapid deterioration over the past year. There are 30 children in the first grade class this year and the principal, who had previously cited a 30 student cap, decided to allow another student into a class. The principal outright stated that to her, each child is $4200. She only sees dollar signs. She also coerced the few parents who attended the first school meeting to vote in favor of transferring all money raised by the annual fundraiser straight into the school's coffers instead of using it for the benefit of the children. Instead of opening the vote to all of the parents in the school she took that very sneaky approach. If the principal does not like you, you will be harassed. I have had letters sent home, threats of being charged non-parishioner rates, and harassment about uniforms. It has been non-stop this year.
St. Ann Catholic School provides a great education in a safe environment for both Catholic and non Catholic students. The teachers are wonderful. There is a new computer lab and an updated library. Great acheivements for a small private school. Many new extra cirrucular activites have been begun recently and I feel a great sense of family and pride at SACS.
Principal is not all there. She always thinking of money not whats better for the kids. Their a lot kids that are out of control but does nothing because she good friends with the parents. So please don't waste your money on that school. She never takes care of the teachers and always causing drama with them. I worked for one year and could not take it. She so unprofessional. SO PLEASE DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY.
I LOVE THIS SCHOOL IT'S AWESOME THE PRINCIPAL ISWONDERFUL AND SO ARE THE STUDENTS. IT'S THE BEST THING THAT'S HAPPEND TO ME SO FAR.
When I went to this school from 2009-2011, I loved my classmates, but I didn t like the school. There were bugs and some mice in the old kitchen. The principal was mean and had favorites. If you got in trouble, the principal will call your parents an over exaggerate 1,000x more than you did. A lot of the teachers were mean and some didn t teach you anything. The cafeteria actually the social hall is not even attached to the school, so when it is storming you have to go outside
The learning environment that has been created by this school and its administration is one of encouragement and fostering. The child is an individual and is celebrated as such. The parents of the students are just as important in the overall feel.... it is a true community with above reproach fellowship. Safe, nurturing, and beyond any expectations I have ever had.
I am no longer a parent at this school ... thankfully!!! Not only are the children bullying each other ... the principal bully's the children. She has her favorites, and if your child is not one of her favorites your child will be treated unfairly. She only hears one side of a story and doesn't get all the correct information before making a haste judgement. My child was there for years before I wised up and removed them from that horrible situation. My advice to parents looking at this school for their child ,,,,KEEP LOOKING ELSEWHERE!!!!!!
