This school has become a joke since the new principal took over. No one in authority is willing to take responsibility for anything, constantly passing the buck to someone else. Children and parents are blamed when they seek help and are guilty until proven innocent, with no apologies. Teachers have no problem sending the same 5 worksheets home in rotation every week for the entire school year, and then can't figure out why the kids are bored and unhappy. There are some great teachers here and the AIG program has been a blessing, but all in all I cannot wait to move from here. After 6yrs with this school it is so sad to see the down turn it has made and the great teachers it has lost.

Aside from other reviews, my children have had wonderful teachers and so far a great experience at Alderman Rd. Elem! My son is in pre-k & has the most incredible 2 teachers & my daughter has been there for 2 years (now in 3rd grade) & has also had positive, encourage, understanding & helpful teachers! The staff is friendly, the office staff is great & I like the 'feel' (I've not had to deal with directly) of this principal more than another school attended in this area. I feel like the principal is more available & around & interacting than the last Grays Creek school we attended. I also visit the school & volunteer frequently & they are open to parents being involved & encourage that.

My daughter is in Kindergarten and I have to say that I have had the most horrible experience there. The aide runs the classroom that my daughter is in, not the teacher. . It took a couple of months for the principal to contact me back about a situation. I have never heard from the asst principal. She sent home a slip saying my daughter had one more warning before she was kicked off the bus. I had sent her a email message asking why wasnt I informed about this the first time, so that we would of never have gotten to this point. I called her numerous times. The only time she tried to return my call was 9pm on a Sunday evening. Of course I wasnt available, but she left me a message telling me she would be out of te building for the next two days. . I am a teacher as well, and when I discipline students I always think about how I would want my child to be treated in this situation. Teachers are worked hard and paid even less, but that gives you no right to slack off with the children or treat them negatively.

This school is not good. They do not care about the childrens well being and the principals do not return phone calls unless you call the board. The teachers are uninformed or at least say they are.

My daughter is a special needs child at this school and I have been very happy with her experience here. The staff is wonderful and very respectful, they are always wonderful to the children at the school and I have impressed with there professionalism. My daughter attended on post schools as well however, I am much happier with Alderman Road than I was on Fort Bragg. I highly encorage looking into this school for your child if they have special needs!

Grays Creek Elementary school is great, they have activities for the students, parents get to participate alot which is good, the test scores are in good standings, I don't stay close to Grays Creek Elementary school anymore but I'm willing to drive my daughter back and fourth to school daily. The teachers are great their very concern about the students, and their beings. Im A parent of a student that goes to Grays Creek Elementary.

Gray's Creek elementary is not a good school, maybe it's the teacher's that I've come in contact with. I've had 2 children to attend this school. My boys are slower learners and need extra help. I've asked their teachers over and over again to send me extra work in the areas that they are having troulbe in and after five years have had no luck. They just need someone to take up the time to explain their work to them more than one time. Not all students catch on at lst glance!

WOW! If your child is not enrolled in this school then they are missing out on a chance to attend the best school in the state. My children all 5 of them want to go to school so bad they get up early most days before I do. I love the principal and his staff. I have nothing but respect for the work they are doing with the children. I also love the fact that there are awards presentations after each grading period. My kids love it when they come home with awards. This is the finest school I have ever seen in regards to the quality of service towards the children. I am relocating and have to leave.I am a single father in the military. Hate to leave.

My children attended this school, and I must say this is the best school that any parent can send their child. The principal, Mr. Violet is always available as well as his supportive staff. When you walk in the school, the ladies in the office are always ready to greet you and make you feel right at home. Your child will never be left behind and there are so many options offered to students if they need the extra push. The teacher and parent involvement is outstanding. Your child will feel loved while at school and will receive a quality education. I was so sad when we heard that we were being relocated, but my heart is still with this school!
