This is a wonderful school. Students are loved by teachers that strive to be Christ-like. In reference to the Nov. 7, 2007 post I would like to say that students are given several warnings before issuing a demerit. They wipe the slate clean, meaning they start back at zero at 2nd semester, and try to teach students that it is their choices that bring about good or bad consequences. Once a demerit is issued or a detention is served, the students are reminded that it is behind them and that they should press forward. Sometimes parents have a hard time admitting that their child could do wrong. In fact, we are all capable of wrong doing, but there are consequences. Love this school!

My children have been at LCA for 7 years, and I am so thankful for the blessing that this school has been to my family. The teachers are well qualified and true servants of the Lord. May God continue to bless LCA.

I'm not at all pleased with this school. I think the educational quality is lacking. The class size is too large and I believe it is hurting the students. I was disappointed to learn that most teachers do not have teaching degrees. I wouldn't suggest this school but if you do make sure you do your homework and ask MANY questions. My sons will not be returning.

Coming from another Christian school in the area, let me tell you that this is the best by far! Affordable, not a school that believes everyone has to go to college, not a bunch of rcih snobs---but down to earth teachers and students that really seem to care. The education plan is structured and follows a plan/curriculmn--not thrown together like another Christian school in the area.

Our family has been at LCA for five years now. We have four children, K5 to 5th grade. Can not say enough good things about LCA. The teachers are awesome and the enviroment is one of love and joy. God is blessing our school, and we consider it a true blessing from Him to be a part of it. It is NOT a private school made up of a bunch of 'rich' kids, but rather of families sacrificing and working hard to give their children a Christ centered education in this 'unGodly' world.

Liberty Christian Academy is the best educational experience I have every been a part of. I teach at a local Bible College and all three of my children attend LCA. They love the school and would not want to go anywhere else. As of this school year, computers are being taught from 2nd grade and up. LCA has sports for all ages, Cub Scouts for the younger boys and the Bible for everyone. Again, in 47 years I can honesly say this is the best school I have every been a part of.

We at LCA believe our discipline system is fair, firm, and consistent. LCA strictly states in its handbook that the school cannot except children with severe behavioral or learning disabilities. We do offer warnings before we issue demerits and we only double demerits when a student continues to abuse specific rules. If a student is caught chewing gum, he receives one demerit. If he is caught chewing gum again, the penalty is now two demerits. It is unfortunate to read reviews by parents like Nov. 7, 2007 because we do love and care for each child. Children need love, structure, and discipline in order to achieve their God-given potential, but we do not believe in behavioral modification. We are not a perfect school but we truly strive to be like Christ in all that we do.

LCA was orginally what seemed to be an answered prayer, however, in the last year, my son has struggled because of their demerit system. THis is not a school for you if your child struggles with ADHD. They offer no warning, they issue demerits and then add past demerits on, which never allows a child to catch up or build any confidence. I was happy with the school, now I am terribly disappointed!!!!

My family has been with LCA for 3+ years, with students in PreK thru middle school. Strong phonics and math skills are the best building blocks for a successful education. Even the weakest teachers are strong. Focus is on Biblical reference(it IS a Christian School)Extracurricular activities are moving from formative to functional and growing. Parents are encouraged to be involved; the online headmaster, and weekly grade folders makes tracking your child's progress easy. The classroom atmosphere is welcoming and personality building versus negative and derogatory (as seen in public school) Great alternative for those living in Hoke county.
