My oldest daughter attended kindergarten at this school. I absoutely loved it! The staff was so friendly and always loking out for the kids. My daughter's teachers were fantastic. I felt very safe and confident in her education there. They focus on getting the kindergartners to read right from the first day. I cried when we moved and had to leave the school. It was one I will never forget and all future schools will be held to the same standard of caring.

I am very happy to be a non-teaching staff member at Margaret Willis Elementary. It is so easy to fall in love with this school. The staff members work diligently alongside each other to ensure the success of every student who is enrolled at our school. We have an awesome PTO, our students come to school prepared and ready to learn, and the school climate is warm, safe, and positive. I would definitely recommend this school, as it is one of the premiere schools in all of North Carolina!

I love this school! My husband is in the military and we've moved away and back several times. My children have been to three different schools previously in the district and this one by far blows them away. MW is a small school, but the staff work well together and the kids get more one on one attention. The school vibe around the school is really good, everyone walks around happy and I never hear any teachers complain. Peggy is an awesome principal and her staff rocks! My children's grades have excelled and there are always plenty of extra curricular activites available for them. Teachers are dying for positions to come open at that school-because it's so cool. My children can't wait to go back to school when there's a break. That should say it all.

My son has attended this school for 2 years now, and it is so very easy to see why the scores for children with disabilities are lower on all the testing! This school focuses only on benchmark tests and end of grade test scores to make the teachers and principal look good, not in interest of the childrens learning! children with disabilities are just passed on and the school is seriously lacking in resources for children with learning problems. extra curricular activities? where?
