Our experience at EE Miller was not a successful one. This year itself proved that this is not the school or administration that this school is known for. I feel the principal leadership is more based on micro-managing and proving points, rather than building a positive relationship with the EE Miller staff and families. Her interest and practices are not benefiting our school or children. Test scores are really low, our disenrollment levels are way low, as well as the staff morale. It's bad when you hear administration bickering among themselves and speaking of leaving to find new employment because they are unhappy. What is a parent to feel???? I have been apart of this family for a long time and it a SHAME to see what this school has been reduced too, due to the wrong leadership practices. Please lets look into getting this school back to where it should be. We need a leader who can articulate, have understanding and will use spell check before sending letters home to parents.

My oldest daughter began attending EE Miller in Kindergarten. Now she is in second grade and we love the school. She has been enrolled in the Spanish Immersion Program and we have been very pleased with it. Her teachers have gone above and beyond to make sure her learning process of both languages is a good one!!

So far so good, I choose this school because it has the language Immersion program that starts with K-5 and currently goes to 2nd grade. I have not heard great things about NC school systems. I know that my son tends to learn quickly and choose the immersion program to challenge him, keep his attention and hopefully make up for where the basic system falls short. They do ask parents to bring in a lot of supplies for the entire class room to use.

I have had 3 kids attend E.E. Miller. Each one of my kids have had different needs and each one needs have been met. The school have gone over and beyond to ensure that my kids suceeded. They offered one on one when it was needed, tutoring when it was needed and intercession classes. The faculty has always been available for conferences and or phone calls. There are many different clubs and events for the kids to be involved in. Mrs. Paige have been instrumental in ensuring that the school environment is warm, secure and fun! My kids have all maintained great grades and know that it is expected of them to exceed in education and citizenship at EE miller.

I think that EE Miller is a great place! I am speaking as both a parent and a teacher. My daughter loved the school because of the high expectations, fun reading programs and interesting extracurricular activities.

When reading many negative response in regards to this school. I concur with all, if time permitted I could give a book on this school and the way they treated my Autistic chilld. Mrs. Paige is by far the rudest principal that I have ever encountered. This type of job entails compassion and concern. I would not advice any one to send their children to this school.

My daughters just attended their last day of EE Miller Elementary. They entered in 3rd grade and will be moving on to middle school next year. My son began attending in kindergarten and will return to EE Miller to start 3rd grade next year. I am very surprised at the negative reviews. I found the office staff to be very friendly. The teacher's are dedicated. Every teacher any of my children have had at this school have gone above and beyond to ensure they are receiving a good education, to keep me informed of their progress, and to discuss anything that needed attention. I feel my children have received an excellent education at E.E Miller. The AG program is outstanding. My girls have been involved with the Bulldog news, science fairs, battle of the books, chef's club and green team (environmental club). I wouldn't sent them anywhere else.

I would not suggest this school to anyone. My family is new to this school and started towards the end of the school year. My child was hit by another student, the principle Mrs Page was extrelmy rude in how she handles the situation. I am very unhappy with her treatment towars my child and myself. I have never met such an impersonable principle

my children just finished a year of attending this school, and i can assure you that they will be returning. this school went way beyond my expectations. the teachers were wonderful, my children got one on one time with them, and you can tell by my children's grades, that it paid off. the pricipal is a wonderful person, she goes out of her way to make sure the parents and the students are comfortable and successfull in their learning environment. i as a parent was always welcome to visit my children in their classrooms, to eat lunch with them, and to volunteer in their classrooms. this school and the staff are great, and i am glad that my children are in a safe and happy learning environment for this important time in their lives.
