This is our second year at Bowley. Unfortunately, we will be PCSing at the end of the year. We've had a great experience. If you're moving to Bragg, Bowley is the best, better then the rest! Lol You will love it! I also suggest, parents that can, volunteer as much as you can. You get to see what's going on in the classroom and school. It's so easy to complain without seeing first hand what's really going on. Bowley also has a great PTA. At times it can be overwhelming (in a good way) just how much they do on a daily basis to make the school a great place. Well be sad to leave here. We've really had a great experience at Bowley. P.S. Ms. Carter (kindergarden teacher) is awesome!!!!!

All three of my children attend Bowley. I have been incredibly happy with our school community. From the very first day Ms. Mial, the principal, made my family feel incredibly welcome and included; this is incredibly important for children facing numerous PCS moves. My children love going to school and are proud to be Bowely Bobcats. One of my children has an IEP. Ms. Whittaker could not be more supportive and enthusiastic about my child's growth and education. As a parent I look for a safe community atmosphere that provides a an excellent education. Bowley delivers!

I am extremely pleased with Bowley. The principal, Mrs. Mial is on her third year at Bowley and she has really done an excellent job of bringing a cohesiveness to the school. She is positive and a forward thinker always trying to improve BOwley to benefit the students. My children have been going to Bowley for the past 6 years and we have had awesome teachers at almost every grade level, Kinder - 4th grade. They have a very active PTA as well so there is always opportunities to get involved.

The prinicpal at this school needs to find another job...she doesnt know how to deal with bullies....she lets the bullies get away with everything and trys to punish the well behaved students. She needs to get it together and realize you dont let these bullies get away with things just cause you want the school to look perfect or you dont want to take the time to correct the bullies actions..kids should feel safe and protected at school.if i could rate the prinicpal leadership with no stars i would. On a positive note dr, smalls is a great consulor. always there for his students.

I have a 1st grader in the school this year. We moved back to Bragg and were delighted to be at this school. The teachers are awesome. Very helpful. The principal LOVES her students and it shows every day. Definitely one of the top schools on the post.

We just finished our 4th year at Bowley. The school is good. We have been very fortunate with the teachers. I think the teachers teach to the standard well but the "standard" is low. This year, I have been disappointed with class size for kindergarten. My youngest has 26 to 27 children in her kindergarten. The teacher is awesome but that is still way too many children for 1 teacher and 1 aide. I think my kinder child will come out of kinder less prepared than her older sibling did. ALso, I think the school is doing way too much testing this year, all I see when I volunteer is testing...no teaching...but I can't blame the teachers, they are dong what they are told to do. New principal this year as well whom I like. She has lots of positive energy every time you see her in the all!! Like other schools...a lot of energy is on the "kids with learning needs". So if you have a gifted or even average student, won't get any "extra" assistance..but if you are a parent of special needs or spectrum kid, you will be happy. I wish more focus was on average and above average kids.

For NC it's an okay school. They recently changed principals, and the new one has really weak leadership skills. Not sure where they found her. The PK teacher is on her own agenda, but has 17 years there, and no one challenges her. Unfortunately she worries more about what works best for her then what works best for the kids. Some of the teachers are great to work with, freindly and easy to talk to, but others try to scare the parents by threats of chain of command intervention. No wonder so many officer families send their kids off post to private schools. Too bad we can't all afford to do that. Unfortunately, it's not school of choice when you live on post.

A few years back I was a student here at this elementary school and it was a wonderful experience. I loved all of the staff their especially my 2nd grade teacher she taut me a lot and I loved her!

I would rate this school better if all teachers were equally good. It is hit and miss, unfortunately. The teachers I absolutely recommend are Mrs. Allred for kindergarten and Mr. McCarthy for third grade. They are pros. The gym class is repetitive and uninspired.

My children are receiving a great education. Counselors always willing to talk with students. School has very active Principal. Located across from a major military building going up so there is lots of construction taking place but it has not effected learning. New teachers will be added to each grade level to accommodate the influx of new students connected to Fort Bragg/BRAC buildup. School has brand new play equipment that my kids think is 'so much fun'. I find if the parent communicate with the teacher you will always know what is happening. I am thrilled they have art and music here.

I think this school could be fantastic and over the top if the teachers in each grade followed the same curriculum and ideas for teaching the children. There is definitely a difference between teachers in each grade level. The gym class is not exciting either.

I have to agree with the parent that wrote about the school secretary,my girls were there from2004 to2007 and she was crude and out right disrespectful each and everytime I had a run in with her. This is the only bad mark i could give this school.

Mrs. Bullard, Mrs. Sias and Ms. Thornton are the best. I truely believe my children will be better people for having these teachers. I cannot say enough great things about these teachers. They are great in the classroom, creative and always fun. They also care and it shows!!!!!

Great school for the most part. My children had absolutely wonderful teachers. The specials teachers are great, too. The PTA however is rude and unfriendly. They do not create a warm welcoming atmosphere for parents outside of their inner circle. I got involved anyway, but it never changed. The family activities are okay, but a little stale and redundant. The school secretary is one of the rudest women I have ever met. Overall it is a great school, but with a few adjustments of some attitudes and some new ideas-it could be the best.

I believe that this school is a great school and highly educating curriculum. I, myself, went to Bowley Elementary School for 2nd through 4th grade. When I was there, I loved all my teachers, especially Mrs. Thornton.
