I'm 11 right now but I went to devers from 06 to 09 so about three years I was in devers and I loved that school so much. After all the schools I have be to so far which is 12 schools and I'm only in 6th grade, it has been the best school so far I loved the teachers the school the lunch every single thing. I loved my first second an third grade teachers there I didn't want to leave and go on to middle school two years later. But time goes on and people grow up so now I'm a straight A student in middle school and honors classes thanks devers you taught me more than you were supposed to but hey it worked out for me!!!!

Ok, this is based off of my experience and the experience of SEVERAL parents I spoke to about how we were unhappy with this school: - Some of the teachers have this problem with pushing their religious beliefs on the students. My son was five years old and by the end of the year was very confused between what we taught him and what his teacher told him every day. - Some teachers have a habit of pegging the children as having disciplinary problems or behavioral issues and being disruptive in class, just to find out when they transfer to a different school it was something as simple as they needed glasses and had a hard time focusing because they couldn't see. -Not every teachers sends home notices when they should leaving you in the dark. The schools automated phone system that calls with important information is also a joke because a lot of parents don't get those phone calls. My son walked home alone at 5 years old upset that we forgot him at the bus stop when in reality he had gotten out of school early and we had just never been told by anyone that that was going to be an early day. - I would pack his lunch and sometimes they would give him a cafeteria meal then charge me...

I had a horrible experience with this school. My daughter's first grade teacher sent home a letter explaining that except in cases of extreme discipline problems, there would be no communication or feedback on how the children were doing with the exception of report cards because it takes up too much time to provide feedback to parents at the end of the day. My child loved shool before this, but started coming home upset and/or crying almost daily. The teacher, it turns out, didn't like her and would scream at her in front of the class - consequently, the other students didn't like her either. I hoped second grade would be different, and while the teacher was better, on the first day of school, I got the same letter home. I guess it's a school policy to leave the parents in the dark!

We have just moved here and after my boys being in the school for a few months I think this school is a horrible school. The curriculam is ridiculous, my 3rd grader is doing work he did in 1st grade at his previous school. The whole enviroment is cold and unwelcoming. The principal is rude and not open to helping parents at all. I am soo disappointed and am searching desperatly to find my kids a better school to attend.

This is a really fantastic school, we just moved here and my daughter finished out the 4th grade here. The only problem that I have with the school is there was no field trips the entire year and there was not a graduation since at this school 4th grade is there last year at elementary School. As far as the curriculam and the teachers though, excellent.

My daughter is 4 and just started pre-k. Her first time in school both of us were unsure of what to expect. Devers elementary made the adjustment real easy. The teachers are warm and compassionate. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. The pta does so much for the school and they put together the most creative activities. I was truly surprised at how much the principal, mrs. Breece was involved in her school. She shows the children and parents how important it is to be active in school. Devers elementary is one of the best schools on fort bragg. They have everything a parent could want. I am proud of devers and all their hard work and continuing effort in keeping our children learning and growing in a safe and comfortable environment. So, thank you devers elementary from one happy mama.
