My granddaughter attends HCS and she loves it! She is excited about going to school every morning and cannot wait to get there to see her teacher and friends. She is now in first grade and is being taught things that I did not learn until third grade and she is grasping them! We all feel so blessed that she is able to attend HCS. None of us worry about the things she is being exposed to durng the day or her safety as we know she is in a warm, loving, calm and nurturing environment of kindred spirits. I can't say enough about the leadership and staff at this school. Only the best of the best. I get teary eyed and full of joy whenever I attend school functions on this campus. You can feel the presence of the Lord and His hand is on this ministry. (Grandmother)

While most of the reviews are great. I would have to mention that not only my child, but others that don't attend Hilltop Church have a hard time assimilating into this school. There is the "Hilltop Church Group" and the "Others". I'm not so sure about the younger kids, but definitely for the older middle school and high school grades. This is a shame in a Christian Atmosphere. This is not only true among the students, but for the teachers who have favored the Hilltop church attendees as well. I 'm not convinced the education received is as great as they claim. Last year there was not one lab done in a chemistry class. I hope this is read and perhaps some positive things can come from some constructive criticism.

Praise God for HCS - this school has been wonderful! All the teachers and staff truly care about the students & want to teach. My daughter has attended since K5 and is in 3rd grade now. Every one of her teachers have been exceptional. This school has been a blessing to our family.

We love Hilltop Christian School, my son is in the 7th grade and has been there since the 4th. All of the teachers that we have had have been loving, nurturing and truly caring people. The administration really listens and cares about parent's concerns. The curriculm is challenging and thought provoking. The wonderful thing is that all of these things happen in a Christian environment.

I absolutely love this school. It is in a great Christian atmostphere and I love the teachers and other students. I don't understand how any student could hate it. I came from Cape Fear Christian Academy and have been at Hilltop for three years. Can't wait to start my fourth. A parent would be blessed to send their child to a school like this!

0My daughter has attended Hilltop school since K5 (she is currently in 2nd grade. I feel SO relieved each day knowing she is in a school that not only teaches academics, but also educates them about our Lord. The teachers are knowledgeable and caring, each pouring their heart & soul into every student present. My daughter is currently testing two grades higher than public students in her area, plus she has excelled in her enthusiasm to learn the Lord's word.

My daughter has attend Hilltop Christian School since first grade. She is now in third grade. She loves the school and the academics are wonderful. They use the ABeka Curriculum program and my daughter has excelled in every subject. Above all, the most important thing is the spiritual lessons taught and lived each day at the school. I never worry about my daugther while she is there. I know she is in the loving hands of Christian teachers and staff. I highly recommend HCS.

We have a second grade child enrolled at Hilltop and could not be more pleased with his school experience. His teacher is fantastic and has gone out of her way to make his transition from public school as smooth as possible. He says it is the only school he has attended that he is not bored in class! That says it all! Hilltop is such a blessing to our family!

My Daughter has attended Hilltop since K5 and is now in the 2nd grade. She is doing very well academically. The school uses the Abeka curriculum and the teachers *are* College Graduates. We love Hilltop! The class sizes are small which does help the students tremendously. The teachers are caring, and supportive. I would not have my children attend school anywhere else.

Hilltop no longer uses the ACES curricculm and has not since 2003 (when the last student under this system graduated). They solely use Abeka and my 2 oldest children now in the 9th grade consisently test post high school in every subject on yearly standardized testing(Stamford Achievement). My 4 children have attended for 5 years and we are very pleased with their academic success. All the teachers are college graduates and accredited. Class sizes are small and teachers care about their students learning not only academically but socially and most importantly spiritually. There is not a better place for my children to be prepared for college work and life than at Hilltop Christian.

This school has had many problems!! do your research and don't send your kids to a school such as this!! Hilltop Christian School is an 'ACE'(accelerated christian education) school and does not prepare students for college. The 'ACE' program is like a home school program and many of the teachers at Hilltop are not accredited nor have many even completed college! Please do not allow your children to be hurt later in life by an educational facility that has as many problems and inconsistencies such as Hilltop Christian School. (Fuquay-varina)

About these ratings

The Community Rating is the school’s average rating from its community members (e.g., parents, students, and school staff). The highest possible rating is five stars; the lowest is one star.

We currently do not have any test score information for this school. Unlike public schools, private schools are not always required to report data about their schools or not required to take the same tests as public schools. Many private schools take different standardized tests; however, that information is often made available only to families of enrolled students. We strive to acquire additional private school data whenever available.
